    No USB C? No PD?

Input is micro USB and Lightning? Gonna take a long time to charge up.

    • +3

At $21 you expect a 10000Mah powerbank to have USB PD?

Xiaomi 10000Mah is microusb only and has no usb PD or usb c (non pro version), that goes for $19ish grey stock and $22 au stock.

I'd be surprised if the powerbank in this deal really has 10000Mah..

Charges tablets, mobile phones, MP3s, MP4 etc

      Warning sign: MP3s, MP4
Looks like a recycled description from 10 years ago.

      • Yeah with Xiaomi in this price point there's no need to consider anything else. I love mine.

    • Input is micro USB and Lightning? Gonna take a long time to charge up.

Ummmmm no? It has two-way QC 3.0. It'll be very quick to charge up!

      • Where do it say QC3 input? I'm pretty sure QC 3 two-way is referring to the outputs.

The picture clearly states two input micro USB and lightning. Don't believe either of these can be QC3.

The fact it doesn't state specs for all input and output ports is telling.

        • +1

Neg all you want, it doesn't make what I've posted any less accurate.

        • Says so in the description. QC 3.0 Two fast charging. That means both input and output is QC 3.0. Second port clearly states 5V/2A.

        • @Clear:

The description says QC3.0|Two-Way Fast Charging:
          a) One QC3.0 output port + one 5V/2A port, or
          b) Two 5V/2A Fast Charging ports, (the one marked 5V/2V and the QC3.0 port when it's not used with a QC enabled device).

Actually the second port in the pics says 5V/2V, (I hope the device labelling is not indicative of overall quality).

Generically a charger that can output 5V at 2+ Amps is a Fast Charger.
It can also be QC1.0 but only if both the charger and device support the protocol. I doubt the 5V/2A port is QC1.0 compatible, (why bother putting a QC1.0 port on a device with a QC3.0 port?)

The description says nothing about what the input is other than it's 'protected', (doesn't even mention what voltage input).

Two inputs to allow the use of the major two types of charger available for charging it.

        • @4wd: I just checked the power bank from the factory and Crazy's promotional imaging. Looks like they're using the term Two Way Fast Charging incorrectly as the input is infact 5V/2A unfortunately. So it's QC3 + 5V/2A Output and 5V/2A Input.

You'd be very lucky to find a charger, let alone a power bank with proper QC 1.0 in it. Having 5V/2A doesn't automatically mean QC1.

  • Did you see this one?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Beston-15000mAh-Portable-Dual-US…

It should work out to be roughly the same price.

    • DC 5V/1A input for that powerbank. It'll charge VERY slowly.

    • Additionally the seller has put 15,000 and 10,000 mAh multiple times in the description.

  • The product is decent. The cable that the product comes with is not compatible with QC. Also from memory the cable is rated 500mAh.

what I've been doing is buying DIY powerpack cases from aliexpress (with 3.1A output (1x2.1 + 1x1) and LCD % display)

    US$3.22 delivered @ aliexpress

crack open an old laptop battery -a standard laptop battery has 6x 18650 batteries-. measure the capacity of the cells with your LiitoKala charger, find the bad one and remove that one. install batteries and close case. done.

    • Do the old laptop batteries charge via USB?

      • Do you mean the internal cells/18650 batteries by themselves? Or the actual laptop battery? Or this diy case filled with ex-laptop battery 18650s?

        • The latter (DIY case)

        • +1

@kcbworth: It charges with a micro usb input. I just use my standard standard phone charger. it can be charged from a usb port.

so, aside from the QC from OPs post then the one I linked is pretty much the same.

        • @altomic: very nice

I'm not sure if I want a CRAZY power bank; a normal power bank is more up my alley

    • +4

I went up your alley, didn't see any normal power Banks. A girl have me some free drinks though - got really drunk, passed out. Must have scraped myself on something because I have a large scar with crappy stitches on my side.

Nice alley though. Pretty tidy for the area, and no homeless people. Surprising considering the good coverage from the elements. I've seen homeless people live in much worse areas nearby.

I actually got my Butler from a homeless community down by the beach near your alley. Was actually a part of an upper class scavenger hunt - bring a homeless guy - but he ended up being quite formal and educated. Turns out he used to be quite well off before a bad business decision.
I hired him to help around the house. A bit of drama with my spoilt daughter who was trying to get him removed from the house. Haha she actually tried to frame him for stealing her jewellery, but he actually found it in his room and placed it back in her room before the inspector came. The look on her face haha.

Good man Godfrey is. I'll ask him if he knows of your alley, oddly interests me.

Oh! I might have left a Xiaomi pen when I was there. Could you have a look for it? Usually I wouldn't mind, but it was hassle getting the pen. I ordered it way back at the start of November, and waited ages for gearbest to send them. About the 20th of January I told them in never got them, and they said they'll send again. They were pretty good about the whole thing.
Anyway, finally got it on Wednesday… No Thursday.. actually got 2 - silver one for myself, Gold for the misses. The metals ones, not those plastic ones. Not a fan of plastic pens, and even though they are Xiaomi I can't find myself wanting them. Nice to write with, surprisingly inky…

      Where was I?
Oh yes, so I left the silver pen in your alley way. To be fair, I only went up there because you led me to believe you had some normal power Banks, so I feel that since you lied you should inherit some of the blame. I'm willing to accept an apology in the form of eneloops if that's to your liking. I seemed to have lost many of my eneloops when I moved house.

Omg I think I just remembered where they might be! I have about 6 guitar hero guitars for ps3 - I bet they are in them. Not sure I remember where they are though. Many of the eneloops were in my Wii remotes, but they are colors I didn't really care for. Pascal colored ones, I think coffee themed or some bullshit. Got them cheap back in the dick Smith electronic days.
When they first shut down, I managed to get a lot of good bargains from the a Traralgon store.

Other than eneloops ice only really liked Duracell batteries. Most other brands seem a little shitty. I remember buying 40 packs from discount stores for like $2, and using them for my Gameboy. Lol, lasted like an hour.

It was a Gameboy color btw, Pikachu edition. Had a yellow front, blue back. Pikachu was near the volume slider I think, and the charge light was part of a Pokeball.
Loves the Pokemon games back then (this was around 1999 I think). Got all the Pokemon in red version, including mew. Mew was obtained by the cloning technique at the time, was level 100 and had all hm's.
When gold and silver came out I got excited, my mum actually got me both which was a surprise to me. She typically didn't care for games. We got them at Harvey Norman, and they were supposed to come with a pin depending on which version you buy, but I only got a Ho-oH badge, which actually still annoys me to this day. I preferred silver version.

Played so much of that. My heart at the time really belonged to my N64 though. First game I got was Bomberman 64, which was decent - but honestly I was expecting a Sega, because my neighbors had one and I loved playing Sonic the hedgehog. Being young kids we weren't the best (actually got the 64 in… 1996?), And I remember that I couldn't get past a certain water level in Sonic. The boss fight had you climbing quickly trying to hit Robotnic while the water raised with you.

Since your reading this still your might be able to help me. Same friend had a PC game that I've been trying to find forever, but haven't been successful. It was a hard game, and I never played it much (we didn't know the controls). It was a Dracula game, and all I really remember was walking around (2d, left and right) and drinking people's blood. Various things were trying to kill is, but I can't remember what. I remember being able to turn into a bat or wolf, but that's about it. If you have any idea that would be sweet. Basically trying to get the while collection of my childhood games.

My dad works at Australia paper, and back then they all used to get games on floppy disks and bring them back home. Had the typical games - Doom, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, Captain Comet, Cosmo, 4d boxing etc… Most were easy to find, but some games harder. One was called "Watch out Willy!" That game was not friendly to Google search.

Oh shit, I just found my pen. My bad, hope you didn't look for it.
Still, you might want to walk down your alley more. A bit of street art could really being it to life. In Melbourne they was an alleyway where the guy who owned the… Italian restaurant I think… He would paint the alleyway really well. Surreal abstract shit. The government decided to end that though, claiming he didn't have permit to paint it.

I had a moment in my life where someone told me I couldn't have something because I didn't have a permit.
When I was living in Melbourne (Swinburne Place, student accommodation for Swinburne University in Hawthorne), I lived on the top floor (7th) of one building at the far right, and a mate of mine lived in an opposing building at the far left. One drunk night we decided to make a cup phone between the building. We had 160m of twine. It took about 4 hours (loss of climbing on buildings stupidly, and special user of a shoe) but we managed to make the cup phone. We had about 23m of slack in the end, so it was over 130m long. We tied some cans to the end, tied then to put balconies… Then never got around to really trying it.
About 3 months later, the building manager decided to appear. He seemed annoyed, be and bought with him a some tradie looking guy. He told us off for connecting a wire between the buildings, and said it was illegal without a permit blah blah blah. We explained it was just string, which the tradie confirmed, but he interested it be cut down.
He left, the tradie asked if it worked. We hadn't tried it, and he let us try it on the condition we take it down after.

We tried it, didn't work. Eventually snapped once it was too taught. Is that the right taught?

Anyway, have some somewhere decent pictures of it, so will always remain.

Is there seriously no word limit here? How long have I wasted writing my mind?
Much respect if you managed to read this. Sorry if there are grammar errors. Using swipe action on phone so pretty prone to random words appearing.

      Yep. Enjoy my life

      • wow that was quite the read. I feel like I've learnt more about life now or something

        • I'll have what he's having!

        • I'll be honest, i didn't read it. But I'm giving +1 for a show of effort
