This is the cheapest I've seen this model. Previous cheapest was $99 from Harvey Norman. It's a good little unit, I've only used it for its pressure cooker functionality though.

      and not a must for meatheads? BBQ is not everything. Pressure cooked oxtails is better than what most people cook on the BBQ IMO.

          @mmd: Teflon peels if you dont look after it, and the non-stickyness goes with it. In saying that I have a Panansonic rice cooker I bought 5 years ago that is non-stick, and has not peeled/chipped etc, its still like new. We make sure not to wash the inside with the rough (green) side of the sponge when hand washing, and only use the plastic spoon thingy that came with it to not scratch the inside. If you take care of it, it will last and wont be an issue. For this price, the pressure cooker is great. I bought one and posted a deal for this very model a few months ago, at that time it was on special for $99: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/340738.

        • @mmd: As trishool said Teflon needs to be cared well and in a pressure cooker situation where heat and pressure is high, there is a chance Teflon related chemicals may leach into food and also may need to be scrubbed after cooking meat or sticky food and this may lead to abrasion

        • @Trishool:
          @kamban:

          Yep, I avoid using metal utensils in my non-stick cookware, and rice bowl at all times.
          I cringe when I see metal utensils being used on non stick surfaces.

      • Teflon. Yuk no way. Pitty.

  • Beauty OP.

    I need one of these they are brilliant.

    lol…or $226.30 @"the nile" is another good option :P

  • I really want to buy this lol since it is larger and probably has better functions than the small one my girlfriend owns. But she makes very good use of it and can make anything in it. I can't understand the Chinese writings on hers, but technically speaking I could just print labels or memorize the functions.

    What do you think guys. Legitimate reason to buy this? :P

  • Does anyone know where I can buy an instant pot in OZ?

    Price is back to 129 now
