      If the 12 ms is grey to grey (which it is), it's equivalent to 6 ms black to white which is how some other monitor makers report it. It's honestly fine. My first Dell was 16 ms g2g, and I had no complaints about ghosting.

        Yeah I play games quite often on my 40" samsung T.V and I believe its only got a 12-15ms response time, maybe more. I don't really notice any significant lag or ghosting and I always use it when using my Fanatec racing sim because my wheel stand doesn't fit well in front of my desk/monitor. I have made top 10 world records in project cars time trials too so the response time can't be that bad. For an fps I would say response time is more important though and if that's what you predominantly play, I would probably try and shoot for 5ms or less.

  i'm seriously considering the 43" monitor but I'll need a new desk for it which will probably cost even more than the monitor itself..

  Hmm, there's only 10 units in VIC, spread across 3 stores. Probably don't have a chance anyway.
