      • It's free standing…

  • Got one, thanks!

Picked up a few for sh!ts n giggles, not even remotely accurate, but fun!

A guy on YouTube shows how to 'calibrate' these.

Place it in a small sealable glad bag with some salt and seal it up. Humidity will be + or - X to actual humidity levels. Mark unit as such and you know it's true reading. Or something like that :p

Bigclive is the guy on YouTube. He does tear downs on lots of these cheap gadgets we froth over.

      • Gold! That's a great idea, thank you so much.

  • I bought on of these last sale, the humidity dropped to 10% and has stayed there ever since.
Still, it amuses me when I show the visitors and then tell them I've done my money…79c

  • Got one for the lulz

  • Just bought one this morning with double the price :(

  • Got one from Gearbest, not accurate. Not sure it is same or not.

    • I just ordered one :( How inaccurate?

      • A couple of degree difference.

Got one in a previous deal. bluetac'd to the office partition.
Does the job. Personally would have preferred the temp in the larger font.

Got one in a past deal and it works great. No issues with accuracy

Yeah, same. I got a couple and when put side by side they report within a percent of each other. They compare well with the measurements from the Weather Station too… not exact but perfectly acceptable. I've used these to monitor the humidity in various areas of the house in order to lay solid timber flooring at the best possible moment. Worked perfectly.

    • Not in my case. I have it in my office where the temperature should be around 22 yet its reading shows 26. I should buy one more to test my luck out.

    • Same I have three, all accurate

I think I might get one of these and stick it in front of one of my xiaomi IP cameras - that way I have remote temperature monitoring of my house.

    • Cost more, but Wemos D1 mini + temp/humidity shield. There's example code for a Web server.

      • Nah, I already have the cameras for checking on my house/dogs - so this is a 63c upgrade to my system.

  • Doesnt come with magnetic sticky tape at the back. For those who wanna use it on the fridge do note.

  • Anybody received the micro fiber cloth from last deal?

    • I completely forgot about that!

      No, haven't got it yet.

  • just me or expired?

  • Does anyone know how to change this to Celsius? It came set at Fahrenheit.

Previous one came set in Celsius. Funny thing is, I caught it at Celsius, then it reverted back to Fahrenheit.

Any way to change or set this?

Looks like I'm the only one who got one set in Fahrenheit? Weird.
