  • Is this for non-members too?

    • +3

Yes. But you should sign up to Peri Perks…..I just won free double pass movie tickets from them.

      • I am, just cbb showing them membership hahaha.

        • +1

You effectively get 10% off via points plus a free meal in your birthday month so bb.

      • how'd you score that?

  • +7

How much is it normally? $12 already seems like a normal price. You dont even get a drink.

    • +5

$14.85 normally. Quite overpriced, but their quality/tastiness is usually above par.

      • +8

Jesus $14.85 for a quarter chicken and sides with no drink?

Australia is becoming way too expensive….

        • +2

Hey man. Nandos is a privilege.

        • Nandos has always been the most expensive of the popular fast junk food franchises.

I prefer Oporto but there's hardly any stores left.

  • +7

make it $9 i might consider

    • yeah dont like the wording, it makes it sound like you're getting 1 side free, when its just discounted side. Normally 13.90 I believe. 6.95 for the chicken and 6.95(discounted from 7.50 or so) for chips/rice and a 390ml drink…

Even with this deal, $5 for 2 small sides that probably costs them less than a $1 is pretty bad

The chicken is expensive too, but I like it so I pay it without too much whinging

      Grab a ¼ chicken plus
not one, but TWO regular sides for only $12

Don't know why they wouldn't extend this to other combo meals… ie I like to get this with half a chicken when I eat at Nandos.

      • I didn't read it that way, but that's because I know ¼ chicken and 1 side is $10.90. I never buy drinks retail, I bring my own; that's what all those can cube deals are for.

        • ha I can't get over the guilt of bringing in my own drink

        • +1

@Baghern: I drink the can after leaving, wouldn't want to put staff in a position of having to state the store policy on outside drinks. I however often bring stuff like cucumber or tomato to add some fibre to the meal. :)

      • +1

Yeah I thought Classic Burger + Side for $11 or $12 (can't remember which) was alright. I didn't need the drink because I drink tap water from work. Saves me the $3 they want for a bottle of water.

  • +14

    Still very very expensive…

    • +1

Agree. Their Whole Chicken, Large Chips and 1.25L drink for $20 back in my Uni days were a killer! Late night study food for weeks.

      • +3

The whole chicken lasted you weeks? Small appetite?

Or did you buy a whole chicken every day for weeks? Pretty big appetite.

        • +1

It was one Chicken slowly devoured over 3 weeks. Ali's a big fan of Salmonella poisoning ; )

    • I'd rather go to KFC and get a more filling meal for that kinda money lol

  • +3

I recommend the corn with hot sauce as one of the sides

  • +1

The taste is good, but I think I’ll stick to my Coles $8 whole chicken

    • +1

Costco chicken are $6 and significantly bigger than Coles. If you have a membership that is.

      • No membership & not too local. Any good?

      • Costco chickens are also very fatty. I'm not a fan

        • Actually it looks like they inject seasoning infused water into them, bulking them up. Some may prefer the texture to the drier chooks at Coolies.

  • +5

Best of all, it excludes South Australia.

    • almost for get we have someone in the south…

      • +1

Victoria is actually more south than SA. So is Tassie.

    • Move to Queensland, everything is better up here ;)

      • Yeah the cane toads are bigger

        • +6

The cane toads are better at hungry jacks

        • +2

@montorola: Shh, now everybody will want some.

    • -1

Indeed - make them pay for their socialist policies

  • +7

I'd prefer lube over Nando's if I was a fence sitter.

    • Impailed! :Eeek

    • +1

      User name checks out

  • nandos vs oporto vs ogalo vs redrooster vs coles vs woolworth vs al jannah?

    • -2

      KFC.

    • beloporto

    • +1

      Chicken Treat

    • -2

      McDonald’s

  • +5

Make it below $10, then I'll consider

    • -3

Coles chicken is less than $10

      • +1

It's not peri peri basted though..

    • Agreed. Although their $30 whole chicken with 2 sides (1 salad and 1 chips) can feed my whole family. I don't mind that for a night out.

  • Howzit Azhar?

  • Still quite expensive but still all these votes to the post :-D

  • Not as good as their previous deals.

  • for all you western australian nandos eaters:
    http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/food/food-warnings/two-nand…

  • If you are a Nando's member and have the app, you can also get a free Choc Mousse. I think it's targeted though.
I just had this meal today :o)

  • +1

Almost got excited there.. thought it was "two quarter chickens and a regular side" . Their chickens are quail-size. A quarter is never enough!

  • So all I need to do is buy Nando’s once a day for 27 days straight and claim 2000 points reward for buying the most? $324 for $200 worth of points isn’t half bad

    • But what if you are not in the top 20?

  • +1

Nandos is such a rip off. You can get an entire chicken for half the price else where. Their servings portions are pitiful.

  • +1

Meh…quarter chicken, that's like one drumstick! Make it under $10 and we can call it a deal
