Ha Ha - actually the cheese does not have much of a smell. I wait for it to come on special usually at Woolworth.
Woolworths deli staff are supposed to give you a sample if you'd like to try, so maybe take a crack at that to make sure?

One day I asked for a (shorted dated, heavily discounted) prawn to try, and the staff even peeled the prawn for me. And yeah, I bought the while lot.

Its not a soft cheese like brie/camambert, but its also not sharp tasting like cheddar. It's more like a typical alpine/swiss cheese. Texture is a bit more rubbery closer to a dry mozzarella than crumbly cheddar, nutty aroma, slightly sweet taste.

No, this cheese involves inseminating cows, killing their calves, and all the other miseries people justify for cheese.
This cheese also contains rennet which renders it unsuitable for those people that don't mind killing cattle for their milk and their skin but do mind killing them for their flesh. (Ie - vegetarians)

I have only ever had the Frico Dutch Smoked Cheese when it was on sale, and that one is excellent - texture is a bit creamy and soft.
Its been a while since bhuja mix on half price! Time to stock up, thanks TA!
