  • How does this compare with the Bugs 2 in terms of performance and features?

    • +2

No GPS. For me I'm waiting on the 3 Pro or 5W release to see how they go.

      • Any ideas when either of those will released?

      • Looks good - page up for it, but not yet released?

Is this a step up over Bugs 2 - seems to have all its feature other than maybe FPV?

        • +1

Bugs 3 pro is the bugs 3 with gps added, but no fpv included (but maybe the basic gimbal).

Bugs 5 seems like a better bugs 2.

Not a lot of info out yet but hopeful prices will be ok.

Also announced a bugs 10, bugs 3 mini and some others.

        • +1

Yep, not officially released yet. I feel bugs 3 Pro is going to be better among all these MJX drones. It has powerful motor, more stable GPS functionality and better camera holder to support action cams. Additionally, it might have upto 22 minutes of flying time and range of around 500 metres.

        • @Username Taken: sounds great. Will await that getting to market before I choose and pull the pin.

        • @Username Taken: why do you think the 3 pro over the 5?

        • @kulprit: Better battery life and action cam holder.

        • @Username Taken: don't think it will hold my tomtom bandit!

  • Any idea what happens when these fly beyond the very short 200 - 300 metre control range? Do they stop, return or continue in the direction they were flying? If they don't stop or return, wouldn't you only be able to fly the drone about 10 seconds of flight away from you before you had to bring it back? My backyard is bigger than the control distance of this thing, is it only suited to small yards and courses?

It has a failsafe which will turn off power to the motors when it loses signal.
So yeh, it just drops when you go out of range.

For the price, i think the range is reasonable. Want more range, spend more money ;)

This drone can fly upto 500 metres, which is quite good. Though it lacks RTH and GPS functions, it has better FPV and power. I found this video on youtube where it covered almost 500 metres: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW-RhGDxLq4

      • Thanks guys, I appreciate the information.
