Although it is a few years old now this is a very nice 'pro' weather sealed mirrorless camera for the price and doesn't fall far behind the X-T2.

  • Great camera but the pixel count is just a bit too low.
    I prefer >24 megapixels.

      Do you make professional billboards?

It gives me room to crop my photo and especially when I am carrying a prime lens with no option to room or to position myself. Greater Pixel give me flexibility and also reveals fine hair details better.

    • Something like this?.

A lot of people do like to see the high megapixel count on the camera spec sheet, I've never printed big enough for it to be a factor.

Image quality comparison between the new and old sensor here.

    • More megapixels doesn’t mean more good pixels.

      True story

      • Compared to the a6300, the Fuji has less noise by about 1 stop. I don't normally shoot image more than 800 iso. The noise for the a6300 start to show around iso 1600. This could easily be taken care of post processing and I still has more details from the 24mega pixel sensors. However, Fuji's user interface is a dream compares to the a6300.

    • when I have controlled lighting my Nikon D3 still renders the best digital image I've ever seen.

Very good camera but not my ecosystem.

Good deal, but consider the X-T1 is 4 years old now and the similarly priced X-T20 has 24mpix with much better autofocus. X-T1 vs X-T20.

    • Yes, the Fujifilm X-T20 is much better.

    • At full price yes, but you won't find an X-T20 with extras at this price. Body only is US$899 - a good 40% more than this price.

      • B&H's price for X-T20 is not competitive, easy to find grey market X-T20 for about AU$925 shipped.

      • Previously had the X-T1 and recently changed over to the X-T20, and the improvement in autofocus performance (and Acros film simulation of you don't shoot raw) is worth the price difference if you're ok not having weather sealed body.

If not in a rush, I'd suggest waiting for a Fujifilm cashback offer and a retailer that's on the approved list also having a sale/eBay coupon. Digidirect and Michael's had Christmas/Boxing day sales 10-15% off while cashback was active (already ended). Save more if travelling.
