Which Reject Shop was this found in?

I always buy these from Reject Shop usually for $19 - baffles me as to how Finish manages to sell any of their overpriced tablets from the ordinary supermarkets when these are available year-round.

    • Spotted at Ashfield NSW, though I do believe it is a nationwide deal.

    • +1

Yeah, no idea why people bother with the other stuff. Also, have you seen the table on the back that compares the “features” of each tablet? LOL…

    • Saw it advertised on tv so should be everywhere.

  • +2

Damn, dishes for yearrrrsssssssss. As a single person, this is a lifetime supply for me lol

    • +8

Wait till you have a couple of kids and fill it every day!!!

    • +14

      2 packs of 110 = 220

      29$/220 tablets = 0.1318$

      • +6

        WaywardOne needs maths lessons

        • Quick maf?

        • +4

No I need comprehension lessons…I didn't realise it was for two packs :D

      • That's cheap.

    • +2

      two plus two is four

  • +4

Wow great deal, about 13 cents a load

    • +8

if only my local brothel cost 13 cents per load…

      • +14

I'm sure if they charged by the second it'd still only cost you 13 cents

      • Gee, you sure weren't very subtle with that joke, were you?

        • +3

It was exactly what I was thinking when I read cfaass's post, so I thought it was a good one. Not all jokes need to be subtle :)

      • Ha! I'm now going to think of that every time I load the dishwasher (I can't be the only one that uses that term??)

  • +14

    How do they taste?

    • I'll give you one EzToken to see you eat one

    • Not as nice as tide pods but they pretty good at this price

  • Is this deal in Melbourne also?

  • +2

What really is the difference between all the flavours? Classic, Max In 1,Quantum Max… I'm sure there is more than that.

    • +8

one is chewier than the other

      • Any chewier than Tide Pods?

        • these have more of a crunch to them

    • Seriously, does anyone know the difference, or know of a scientific review of the countless variants?

      • +1

We find the difference is these ones are garbage unless your dishes are already nearly clean, whereas the more expensive ones just work no matter how dirty dishes are.

  • +2

I've bought a box of these before, I can't comment much except some of the tablets didn't dissolve properly in the Dishwasher,
I hope this was an isolated issue with the box.

  • +1

This deal was cheaper & less upvotes ?!? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/342662

    • probably pre Finish Classic Powerball challenge

    • +2

Yea don’t get that, I tried upvoting but couldn’t. Probably less popular due to being not many stores around. I only know of one dimmys around me, but around 10 reject shops, many much closer.

  • +1

Thanks OP, been looking for tablets for a while.

Bought at Northland mall in Preston, VIC. Marked at $19 each but guy behind counter knew $29 for 2

  • +10

That's dinner sorted for the next week!

  • Pass on these.

I tried them in my dishwasher and the glasses have never been the same again - have this haze on them that isn't coming off.
    Back to the liquid cleaner.

    • +1

Might be your dishwasher not the tablets

    • +1

been using these for years occasionally you do get one or 2 that don't break down.

the ones that don't break down are accepted for use in the Finish Classic Powerball challenge

      • yeah i gave up on all tablets because i found 20% ended up undissolved and stuck in the powder dispenser or in the cutlery holder so needing to run again, added to the extra cost of the tablets vs powder and extra cost and wasted time of running a load multiple times, they are a ripoff that pose no real benefit over powder.

Not to mention its false advertising, the powerball isn't actually a ball, its a half sphere.

    • Are you sure you didn't use Washing Machine Tablets?

  • +7

I prefer tide pods, much tastier flavour

  • +1

Just bought a dishwasher, rookie question.
Do these tablets have that dissolving plastic thing around it?

    • +1

      Nope

    • +1

      remove from sachet

  • Any in Brisbane?

    • Plenty in queen st mall store

  • so who's up for the Finish Classic Powerball challenge then?

  • +2

I don't know if this is worth mentioning, but just saw Finish Powerball Quantum Max 40pk $5 (0.125/tablet) at the moment on catch of the day. 2 hours flash sale. and there's the shipping cost as usual.
    https://www.catch.com.au/event/2-hour-flash-deal-81-off-fini…

    • Good price but maximum one per person.

    • Too bad shipping is $7 for me, in metro Melbourne. I often find catch is cheap, but grabs u in shipping costs.

  • Do these taste as good as Tide?

    • These are minty with a hint of vanilla.

  • Wow, 220 lines in Powerball for $29. I might actually get a prize.

  • +1

    Logix from Aldi anyone?

    • Ye this is what we decided to use - I believe it is 20c per use.

This deal is definite cheaper but we are going to take 2 years minimum to go through that 110 tablets and I'm always a bit suspicious on how these tablets actually keep well for.

    it's $23 for 2* 110 here in Perth, WA

    • +1

      where did you find that?

      • Perth CBD store in Carillon City.

    • Photo/receipt would be great for a price match, please :)

  • I can confirm this available in highpoint, vic

  • Heaps left in the Perth CBD store. They’re advertised as 2 boxes of 110 for $23.

    • Photo/receipt would be great for a price match, please :)

  • The shiny red Powerball… the forbidden fruit.

  • Price match @ Officeworks to get 2 for $21.85 with the link Ladsos provided above :) 9.9c per tab is awesome.

    • My OW rejected the price match. Said they don't do multiple items.

  • Looks like there are two versions of boxes/tablets. 1 box with a total weight of 1.79kg and another 1.99kg. Anyone noticed that or knows what’s the exact difference?

Having read the super cheap Dishwashing Powder sold at Coles (approx $2 for 1kg), you can't go wrong.

Just leave an old spoon (or spare op shop spoon) in it, no mess, no wastage, lasts ages, and cleans very efficiently.

    • Can you please explain this comment further? I don't quite understand what it means.

      • Hello.

Basically, I haven't bought tablets ever.

So I recommend using powder instead.

(And by spoon, basically that is for convenience, to avoid needing to have a mess).

        • Why do you recommend it? Is it sort of like the coffee beans vs the convenience of coffee capsules?

        • @Lorindor:

          1. They both do the job.
          2. The powder does the job for a much lower per wash cost.
          3. The less you spend, the more you save - refer #2 above.
