[QLD] Sea World Resort Stay & Entry to 4 Theme Parks for Family of 4 from $119 Per Night (12-28th Feb 2018)

1670

I was looking at staying down on the Gold Coast and taking the kids to Wet and Wild at the end of Feb and stumbled across this deal which I think is absolutely incredible value at Seaworld Resort. They are having a 'pool closure' sale, as the main pool area is being revamped. So basically if you stay there between 12th and 28th Feb, you are getting a room for the night (double rooms start at $119 per night and include 2 x double beds) and on top of that you get entry to any of the 4 main parks for up to 4 people. Valid from day of check in to day of check out, so from my understanding that means you could go to any of the parks over 2 separate days.

Parks Include:
Wet n Wild
Movie World
Seaworld
Paradise Country

On top of that you also get:
2 for the price of 1 adult buffet dinner at The Shoreline
2 for the price of 1 adult buffet breakfast at The Shoreline
2 x $20 discounts for massage and beauty to use at Sea World Resort Relaxation Corporation
2 x $20 discounts at Gold Coast Water Sports

To put it in perspective of savings. A 1 day pass to Wet and wild alone for a family of 4 is $296 total. With this deal you can have an overnight stay at the resort, entry to another 3 parks, and save $177!

Normal midweek room price for a double room only (without entry to any parks) is $230!

I personally went for the Queen room which has queen beds instead of doubles, and paid $144 per night. $288 total over 2 nights and will likely go to W&W, MW, and SW over the 3 days.

Full details below.

While the Sea World Resort pool is closed for schedule maintenance, be sure to take advantage of our limited time only Pool Closure Special.

Stay at the award-winning Sea World Resort between 12-28 February 2018 from only $119 per night for up to 4 people including UNLIMITED entry to 4 Theme Parks*.

Plus, during this time the SpongeBob SplashBash, Aquaplay and Water and Light display will area will still be open.

There’s so much on offer with this incredible deal, including:

UNLIMITED entry to Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast and Paradise Country during your stay
With direct monorail access to Sea World, be sure to meet the adorable Polar Bear cub Mishka at Polar Bear Preschool when you stay with us.

  • Nice post, I needed March 24th to 30th.This would have been a huge savings on my pocket. I just paid $345 for 2 park/2day pass for three to WB Movie World & Sea World. The hotel(Aegan apartment) alone cost me $1070 for five nights.

    • +1

Have no regrets mate! I used to stay at the Aegean every year, love that place. Enjoy.

      • +1

Thanks for your view on Aegean, never been to this apartments and was little bit worried. Now feel happier.

    • Lol, see you up there that's when I'm heading up… Just spewing I didn't get my hotel room in the wotif sale.

    • Why not use Airbnb? I managed to get 8 days in a 2bedroom apartment for $750 (got $100 off/ 2 accounts using our $50 free credit) and purchased a season pass (valid till July and includes access to Wet n Wild
Movie World, Seaworld, Paradise Country) for $85 a person (Purchased on Groupon for $99 but received 15% off).

All together we got 8 nights (in 2 different locations, one place is on paradise island, surfers paradise) and season passes for 3 people for a total of $1011.

If you are planning that far in advance I suggest using airbnb and also buying the passes before December-January as the prices on Groupon went up by around $80 for the same thing.

But, I also understand if there is a specific place that you are wanting to stay.

Nice deal, but already going to Gold Coast for a weak from Jan 31 to Feb 7 so this deal would not have helped me. Great offer for others who are wanting a short break with only 1 month in advance and are happy to have no proper pool for their stay.

    • +9

      Week excuse. ;)

      • +7

I sea what you did their.

  • -3

It's not $119 total, its $119 per night.

    • +2

      Is there a minimum stay?

  • +1

Awesome find OP!! Booked! $40 each for 4 friends and entry to 2 parks is awesome. (Room on my date was $169, guessing weekend upped price)

  • If you book a night, does the unlimited entry apply to the check-in date or check-out date or both? I assume would be the check-in date but just wanted to clarify. This is because if check-in is 2pm it does not really give you much time left to enjoy the theme parks.

    • +1

you get it from 10am day of check in and until 5pm day of check out (at least that is how it was when we stayed at paradise country)

      • Thank you, I've just re-read the OP and it mentions that it is valid from check-in to check-out so yeah 2 days. However, you mentioned from 10am so does that mean you get the tickets directly from the theme parks rather than get it from the check-in counter?

    • +1

The T&C says 'Theme Park entry valid from day of check-in to day of check-out.' so it seems to me that it's valid for both. Either way , simply 'check-in' at 10am (i.e ditch your luggage with the porter and get your tickets) go enjoy the park and then get into your room later once you've spent the day having fun. :)

      • +2

Anyone doubting this (like I was), I just phoned to confirm that this is the case and it is. You can dump your bags early, get tickets and go somewhere the first day, then go back and proper check-in, and go somewhere the second day.

        • +4

In fact, the wording on the booking email reads:

"Should you arrive prior to check-in time please register your arrival with Reception to start your journey of fun and adventure and utilise the Resort facilities. If theme park tickets are included in your package these can be collected after registration with Reception, so you can enjoy Sea World straight away. Sea World theme park is open from 10am, 7 days (excluding ANZAC Day and Christmas Day). Our friendly Concierge staff will be delighted to store your luggage until your room is ready."

        • @tissue:

Thank you~~ Does anyone know if there is a way to get the tickets without going to Reception at Sea World? E.g. can we get the tickets from other theme parks like movie world or wet and wild? This is because if coming from Brisbane you reach these theme parks first and it will be another 25-30 minutes to get to Seaworld.

        • @wildstone: yes i would like to known this too? id guess that you probably can only collect it from seaworld. so get your pass at the resort at 10am and see seaworld then you have until 5pm on check out day so see the others.

  • I don't understand… tried to book it in,

And it's showing - AUD 219.00 per night

    • *Conditions & surcharges apply for Fri/Sat/peak periods/other room types.

  • +2

I stayed at SeaWorld for 1 night. Purchased my stay from red balloon it was $458. And that was only 1 night stay and entry to SeaWorld. So this deal is awesome.

  • +1

This is an absolutely cracking deal. Nice find OP

    • +1

Every OzB member must stick a photo of scotty's avatar on their door!

  • POOL CLOSURE SPECIAL
so dont be disappointed with that…

    • +4

The pool is nothing special anyway, and who needs the pool when you have free entry to Wet and Wild right?

For anyone with little kids ' the SpongeBob SplashBash, Aquaplay and Water and Light display will area will still be open.'

      • I agree but someone will expect to see this one as well

        • +1

Went on slide last year at Wet n Wild, got cut up on the back and nearly every ride was closed, wasn't impressed.

We went to White Water World 2 weeks ago, everything was open and I'd go this over Wet n Wild.

Nevertheless booking for Sea World. Thanks!

  • +2

Thanks OP, epic deal. Just booked in for a night :)

  • +1

Will the seals and porpoises die if the pool is empty?

    • +2

At least there'll be fresh seafood on the smorgasbord then.

      • There’ll be a whale of a smorgasbord next year!

        • Minky burgers!

        • @hardya: I was thinking Shamu slushies, but Minky burgers sound good! Maybe both in value meal deal?

  • +2

Cheers, got a family room adjoining for $413, includes the 8 tickets. Thats a steal!

  • Have 3 kids -so restricted to a queen room($219), but still a decent deal.

    • +4

Sneak the youngest in and they sleep on the bed cover folded up as a mattress on the floor. Doesn’t everyone do this?

      • Stay is just one of the issues - what abt entry to parks? Pay full price?

  • Oh my goodness this looks too good to be true

Question for the learned - what’s the best / cheapest way to get there from Sydney - which airport is it closest to? Too far to drive…

    • +1

Gold Coast Airport is the closest and most likely the cheapest. Brisbane always costs more.

    • +1

Coolangatta or Brisbane - just pick the cheapest flights. There is a train to Brisbane but I’d recommend a hire car anyway to get out to Wet’n’Wild. It is doable with public transport but you waste a lot of time. Plus, Seaworld is a fair hike from shops and restaurants / Surfers Paradise.

      • Thanks
On 4% battery otherwise I’d investigate more but I’m guessing the parks aren’t that close together then. Would rather not hire a car and all that

        • +1

Wet and Wild and Movieworld are practically next door to each other. Sea world is a little further away, about 25 mins drive and 5 mins drive from main beach. All certainly easily done by public transport if you research what ones to get and not too expensive.

  • Checking in on Friday and out on Sunday for 388.00. 2A + 2K

  • The closest airport is Coolangatta which is OOL as code for airline purposes. Can also utilize a special shuttle bus to the theme parks but not sure which beaches on the Gold Coast it services other than the northern section.

  • +1

Possibly the worst holiday booking experience I have encountered - booked anyway! Thanks OP!

    • It really is a terrible website isn't it?! Same for me.

  • i live next door and might book a room

  • +1

    Great deal, thanks OP! :)

  • +1

I booked one night for late Feb for the pool closure Sale.I booked through Cheap tickets. 16% further discount bring the total down from $119 to $103. Not a big difference but more spending money in your pocket. Its a no brainer. Best of luck guys.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/cheaptickets.com

    • Damn that's a good deal, would have done that if I hadn't already booked, looks like they limit theme park entry to 2 people per booking though on CT?

      • True, if still free 4 entry per day I will definitely make the booking. Interesting, try to ring cheap ticket on either 1-844-700-1007 or 1-844-709-7928, it says the phone number are disconnected.

      • where does it say only 2 park entry per booking in CT?

        • -1

Free amusement park access for 2 per day

  • +1

    Thanks for sharing:)
    Fantastic deal

  • -2

$198/night on fri/sat. may as well go the week before and pay $240/night - you get a better room and a pool!

    • +1

Yeah but you wont get entry to 4 theme parks. Lucky if you get entry to one at that price!

  • Quick q can't make these dates but Will be there in March looking at the booking system they have an offer 35% off + 1 theme park entry .. does that mean entry for a family of 4 ? Cos that seems ok for $260 ??

  • -7

The kids are dying to go to dreamworld.

  • They have these deals quite regular, especially in winter. It’s ok if you have a car but if you r from interstate without a car then it’s quite inconvenient to stay there.

Look out for Paradise Country deals. Last year they had unlimited entry to theme parks and Outback spectacular dinner n show inc in 1 nights stay. Ridiculously cheap!

we bought the Dreamworld annual pass deal $59 and loving it. No queues walked up to front of line for rides and love White Water World way more than Wet n Wild. 1 hr+ queues for water slides at Wet n Wild versus 5 to 10mins at WWW. The crowds at MW are insane atm.

  • Sigh, just started to look too expensive, in the $1000 zone

3 nights $300 (only have the 119 for the first 2)
    Flights for 4 $570
    Airport transfers $75 each way

Might hang out for a winter special and some of those discount tiger fares…

    • Jetstar has $49 flights from Sydney, $59 from Melbourne.

  • How does it work out for a family (couple) with one kid? Or 4 adults (with grandparents) and 1 kid? Any special pricing?

  • Just booked for 14 & 15 Feb. Can anyone recommend a good place in Surfers' for the 16th & 17th Feb?

    • Are you assuming that the entry to four theme parks will be valid for four days even if you only stay at the resort for one night?

      • No, only wanting recommendations for different place to stay.

    • -1

Unlimited entry for up to 4 people to Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast and Paradise Country during your stay

  • When selecting a room type, does anyone know what all those abbreviations mean (bdsd, bexs, bexv, etc.)?

  • +2

I can't see this mentioned, but this deal is available through hotel booking websites as well. If you book with booking.com and spend over US$200, you get US$40 back, for instance. Other hotel sites have percentage off deals (Hotels.com has 8% off pre-GST price, Agoda regularly has 10% off).

  • +1

Bit the bullet, thanks OP, pretty excited.
Basically went for 2 nights as that's all they had.

3 full days in the parks should be pretty tiring

Went for car hire direct with jetstar and it was only $78 for 3 days.

Youtubed some of the rides. Damn they look scary!

    • +1

great to hear. hope you have a blast.

  • i live local but its cheaper to book this resort offer lol. tried racq pomo code FORYOU 15% off but it doesnt discount below $119 does anyone know of any other discount codes that will make it cheaper than $119? might go via a hotel site and get cash rewards. hope we still can get free unlimited entry to the theme parks if we book via a hotel booking site?

  • So, we are off tomorrow! We have 2 nights and three days, landing early morning the first day and leaving 6pm the last.

I was wondering if anyone has been and has any tips

    • which are the best parks for a 8 + 6 year old? - we will try to see all four but in 2.5-3 days I don't know how far we'll be able to roam, though we also have a hire car. I see that paradise country, movie world and wet n wild are all in the same area
    • food! We are a 'make your sandwiches for the day and pack them' family. Any supermarkets near the resort?
    • how is the drive from sea world to the other places. Looks like half an hour :(
    • is it free parking at the resorts?

Thanks again, hope people are having a ball on this great deal.

    • +1

I went there last week and had a blast. The lines were pretty short at all the parks I visited and the most I had to line up was 20mins for the Superman ride.

      • All of the parks are suitable for kids, but it's hard to recommend one as it depends on what they like to do. Movieworld has a few rides that aren't suitable for smaller kids (DC Rivals/Green Lantern/Superman Escape/Arkham Asylum), but plenty of street shows and characters to keep the little ones happy. Also Paradise Country only requires max 1-2 hours as it's a small park. Tip: try to catch the shows at PC if you can.
      • There's a large shopping complex called Australia Fair in Southport which was 10 mins drive away from Seaworld. This contains your usual Woolies/Coles for all your shopping needs.
      • Seaworld is located away from the other Village theme parks which are all in Oxenford about 30mins drive away.
      • Seaworld Resort has a large carpark and parking is free. Entry to the Resort is a bit further down on Seaworld Dr. from the Seaworld theme park. Tip: There's a show called Dolphin Discovery which is only available for Seaworld Resort guests at 8:45am.

Pro tip: make sure you have insurance to cover excess on your hire vehicle. My hire car was scraped while it was parked in the Movieworld car park, luckily I had travel insurance which covered all of the excess.

      • Thank you for that, really appreciate it. Saves a lot of time and helps with planning for sure.

Hard luck with the scrape. Even with insurance it’s surely a massive pain to sort out. Just checked my travel insurance and yep, hire car excess cover, phew!

We checked out some of the YouTube vids for the rides. Looks like I might be doing a few on my own!

Classic ozb trip - just parked in my $10 Wilson airport parking spot (via ozb) for my SeaWorld ozb trip via jetstar 10% off gift cards. Will probably grab some dominos coupons off here as well for a meal at some point :)

Great being able to save $50-100 on what’s already a bargain trip so easily

        • I'm going on Tuesday Mate so might see you there! Have a great trip

  • Holy moly it is hot and humid, be prepared
Wet n wild it is then!
