Having used the Gear fit 2, I am a bit skeptical on this purchase. The GPS took ages on it to track. Had to go through the entire rigmarole of disconnecting it from the phone , restarting it a couple of times just to get the GPS to lock on!The battery couldn't survive a 45 min run with BT on for music. Watchfaces were also a big battery drain and I misplaced the device because it didn't clip on properly(an issue which they have fixed now I believe). The heart rate monitor also showed ridiculous readings like 185 and sometimes 200 bpm on a leisurely jog! Do you think these issues are fixed with the pro? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
wow that sounds terrible
Yes unfortunately! I got it free over the s7 edge redemption so in true OZB style, i persisted with it. I want them to fix the issues though! I wouldnt mind paying for it. I miss not having to take the phone on run. (Surprised by the downvote?? I was just sharing my experience)
Turn off bluetooth(phone or gear fit 2). It will help.
Just buy an import gear s2 over this though right (unless you NEED gps)
This has up to 3 days battery vs 2 on the S2.
Yes, although this does a lot less, and you can't even swap bands. The S2 can be used as a fitness watch or as a normal watch.
The previous DWI deal here still seems to be active and gets you the same product for $209 if you're willing to have standard post. Express Post adds $9.90, saving you a whopping 91 cents if you need it straight away.
Personally I'm about to bite on the Kogan one for $229 because I have a $30 off voucher for signing up to their newsletter, and my wife is signed up to Shipster for free shipping, so I'll be paying $199 for it.
(Edit: Just realised these two wouldn't be local stock, though, so yeah could be worth it if local stock matters to you.)
