  • Please note that our advertisment is being adjusted by a someone other than myself and the price has been changed to $89
    the actual price is $69.

  • $1 different…..why can you offer free delivery australia wide???

    • +1

We have no credit card fees, this makes our offer cheaper,
Please note, someone has compromised our account and the price keeps changing.

  • so 89 or 69…your title stil 89…

    • it is $69
I am not changing this price
someone has hacked into this account.

    • it says $69

      • +1

        now it does say $69,
the price is being adjusted by someone other than myself, and I have to keep editing the price,
it is meant to be $69.

I have reported this to Ozbargain,

This product is part of our Xmas sale and our promotion started 5 days ago, the price for this product is $69 as per our catalogue.

        • yes xmas sales, can't wait for more

    • He said it $69 in the first comment.

    MLN, I'm seeing the following:

Originally posted at 12:43 with $89 in the title 04/12/2010 - 12:43 by MLN revert
$89 still in the title 04/12/2010 - 13:01 by MLN revert
Changed to $69 04/12/2010 - 13:04 by MLN "current revision"

I don't see any other account accesses but perhaps you need to change your password and post from another computer. Given that you are in a computer store, may be pretty easy. I'll flag it to Scott anyway.

    • +1

      We only have one account
      called MLN
there is no MLN revert account, no other account other than MLN should be associated with www.mln.com.au
Only one computer, one mod, one person has authorisation and access to the MLN account,
      and that is myself.
We have set it up in this way, so that it is very easy to track any potential problems and transparency can be maintained.

Thank you for investigating this, it sounds like somebody has setup another account and is posing as an MLN employee and trying to sabotage our promotions.

ha….revert is the function to revert the post to a previous version, not a user ;).

        • +1

          lol
          :)
ok, so how is this function enabled?
are there mutltiple users accessing this same account?
          How is it getting reverted?
I never listed it at $89
As I am the only user, I have changed the password now, but I still need to understand what happened.
          thank you.

As I said, the mods only have access to built in functions of this site. Scott can look at the raw log files and confirm if any suspicious activity has happened. Reverting is only for mods, similar to how a wiki works.

With the tools we have, which do show extensive logs of various identifying markers, I don't see anyone else posting to this deal other than you. It does show you posted with a price of $89. But leave it with us, and we'll check into the raw logs.

    • thank you for investigating this,
my initial post was $69 and I have never listed it for any other price.
      Thanks

  • How reliable are these? Haven't used iomega since the old zip disk days.. ah memories..

    • I have a huge pile of 100MB Zip Disks here that I am trying to sell. They were absolutely massive storage at the time - Gosh, it only took 2 to back up my entire hard drive! But now they seem a bit small - I downloaded an iPhone app this week that was 5 times that size ROFL!!!!

  • I got one, very reliable and fast enough… Will buy one more for my media player

  • Sad to see Iomega banding together with the rest of the sheep and bundling useless crapware with every drive.

    • funnily this version actually costs more than the version without the bundled software, and the only difference is the software, they are actually paying to have this software on there.
Bonus is you can remove it still I guess.
