Overpriced even with the 25% off..

    • +2

Really? That's an amazing price on the Bosch Glide, never seen it anywhere near that cheap, and it's considered one of the best mitre saws around (unless you've got big bucks to spend on Festool)

      • -3

Hmm..my makita is half the price and cuts perfectly. Just my 2 cents. If you are in love with bosch may be worth it.

    • +2

I dont think so, eg GEX125AVE Sander was $210 now $157.50. Prices elsewhere are around $259.

I just bought it this week at $210, delivered today and now $157.50. Grrr!

      • +2

It's a great sander though. Much less vibration than other similar models. Was the first bit of Bosch blue kit I bought.

        • Yes, tried it yesterday and totally agree with you. The extra 150mm pad also is a great feature.

    • +1

      Appropriate username!

I don't think you deserve to be down voted for your opinion, but I also disagree with you. While Bosch Blue is pricey, it is considered worth it. The prices here are cheaper than what we can normally get them for.

  • Can anyone comment on the difference between the two mitre saws, both are the same price:

    • Bosch GCM10GDJ Gliding Mitre Saw
    • Bosch GCM12GDL Gliding Mitre Saw

    ??
Is size the only difference? I looked at the Bosch site and the 12GDL seems to have a laser symbol but the 10GDL doesn't so is that another difference?

    • +1

Looking at the photos, the J doesn't have the support wings

      • Strange the smaller one doesn't have those side support rails. Now I wonder if the larger model can take the smaller 254mm blades.

    • +1

      i imagine the 10 & 12 refer to the blade size. 254mm and 305mm

      • +1

Doh! That's exactly it. 10 inch and 12 inch blades

  • +1

    Great prices - thanks OP.

$40 postage on a saw to just outside of Melbourne kills the deal a bit.

  • +1

Incredible deal on that Bosch DBX2-PEC 2 Piece Heavy Duty Combo.
    Sold.

    • +1

Yes I must admit with the 2x 6A battery it is a decent price.

      • 6Ah, Brushless and to of the range for $400 compared to 2Ah home use range or 4Ah but Brushed for any other brand at the same price.

        • -1

The standard bosch brushless kit is $399. Its not a huge price difference. The only difference here that makes it attractive is the 6A battery although that is also a very heavy battery.

        • +1

          @WTF:
yeah that's right, the standard Home Grade Bosch Brushless kit V-EC models with 2Ah batteries and standard charger is $399.

This is the top level Pro Kit VE-EC (note the extra E in the model number) with bigger batteries and fast charger for less.
Comparing the Bosch V-EC kit to the VE-EC kit is like comparing a Pov Pack Car with it's tricked out Turbo Charged, fully optioned big brother.
I suspect you're doing the same comparing your (home grade) Makita Saw to the Bosch in your first comment.
Agreed that the one downside for home use is the massive batteries.

    I'll echo this…"Great prices - thanks OP."

Thanks OP. Just bought a Demolition Hammer:)

  • any recommendations for a hammer drill? my carpenter uses the bulldog which seems reasonably priced. need it for general demolition and home related jobs

    • You really want a Rotary hammer for demolition.

  • +1

Great price for an excellent mitre saw in the Bosch glide saw. I own one and paid significantly more.

  • Has anyone had experience with this website? I am so tempted to buy brushless tools.
    Thanks.

    • +1

Yes, I ordered the sander on the 8th, delivered on Thursday 11th. Had no trouble registering it on the Bosch website for the 3 year warranty.

Seems good service and good gear. Pity I missed the 25% off, but otherwise cant complain.

    • Bought a few things from their recent 20% off deal. No issues

  • +1

Question from me, anyone have a view on whether to go the wireless 4aH vs the conventional 6aH. Not for commercial use, just want to get a better standard of gear for my own private use.

  • No shipping to Adelaide?

    • We ship Australia Wide, however it’s only free to Syd / Bris / Melb metro. The site will quote you on checkout. You can email [email protected] if you are experiencing any issues.

  • Hi, thanks for the reply. Email sent.

  • OP, do you have any more GCM12SDL in stock? or will you before Tuesday evening? would love to buy one. Thanks

    • I'm glad they sold out. I was so tempted, but where would I put it as it is so big?

    • Sorry we have oversold! They are big and hard to miss so I doubt they have been missed but a stock count will be done when sale ends. We’ve had a few people contact us to alert them of any we find, so feel free to do the same and I’ll ensure we honour the 25% off. [email protected]

      • Thank you, I'll do that!

      • Hi Wakko, when this item becomes available again, how should I claim the 25% ? Thanks!

  • BEWARE I bought a Bosch jack hammer from this company during the sale and it was delivered promptly but without any paperwork. I contacted customer service and they promptly sent me out a copy of my invoice, but will not send a tax invoice with their ABN, and the date of the transaction etc. so I can not claim it as a tax deduction.

    • Just checked my invoice. I cant claim anyway, but mine doesn't have an ABN either. They are charging GST, so not sure this is legal. Maybe Boxlots need to respond to this query as it will affect a lot of people ordering this sort of stuff.

      • Following some email correspondence with them they have provide me a tax invoice, and whilst I was a pretty heavy handed with them chasing this (which may or may not have driven their response) they have been really prompt and great to deal with.

I have suggested they include invoices with their deliveries and that they alter their standard invoices to be compliant with ATO and ACCC requirements.

Would more than happily recommend them if they do change their standard invoices.

        • I did get an invoice with my delivery, it just wasnt a compliant tax invoice as no ABN quoted etc.

        • I have also bought a Jackhammer though them. Requested a tax invoice. No reply yet.

        • @harryzee: hi harry I got your request and have sent the invoices to customer service - will be sent to you Monday.

        • @Wakko:
          Thanks Wakko.
          Good service

    • +1

Our invoices are generated by our web system. This issue has never come up before but they have now been updated.

Our customer service team responded promptly to your request and simply needed to get the update made. Didn’t require any heavy handedness.

We just don’t work 24/7 - although we do go above and beyond when we can.

      • Thanks for your response. All good.
