  • Will it fast charge an iPhone X?

    • It should be able to charge an iPhone X, but not quickly. Qi charging does make your phone hot. Higher end chargers feature fans or some form of passive cooling.

However, in the title it says Only For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus/Note5/S7/S7 Edge, so I think it's best to get the konsmart

The previous deal here may help:

    • +2

Yes, it does. Rep just got back to me.

      • Everything I've read says only the two Apple sells will fast charge.

      • Doesn’t look like it, iPhones will only charge over 5V, this device is only 1A * 5v = 5W.
It will fast charge other Qi devices though

Thanks OP. Got the misses one

  • Will the Nexus 6 fit?

  • how long is delivery time

    • Postal Service - No Tracking 6 - 35 business days.

    • +1

30-60 days, average is somewhere in the middle.

Does anyone have any idea how this compares to the official branded ones like the kind sold directly by Samsung Australia or the 'approved/certified' high quality third party accessories like the ones sold at JB Hi-Fi?

You can pay ~AU12 up to ~AU$120 for these things.

Also how to determine wattage? Is this one for $6.57 shipped from Newegg marketplace 10w https://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9… ? Presumably not but so many of these don't seem to list the wattage, only amps and/or volts.

  • they dont have 9v Quickcharge types?

  • +5

Does this charge fast enough? How is it compared to Samsung fast charge if any one has used this one?

    • +1

Samsung fastcharge is 18w, this one is approx 12w from the specs

      • cool. Thanks.. I did not notice that.. so will probably take 1.5 times samsung time.

  • For note8 ?

    • Yes, it is.

  • +2

I grabbed one for my wife, thanks OP.

      Are you stalking me?

  • LG G6?

    • I don't think the G6 supports fast charge unless you have the DAC one that may?

  • Do these work with an Otterbox case on the phone?

    • +1

You will be hard pressed to find any review, let alone a trustworthy one, for these generic third party unofficial accessories. You will be best off doing your own measurement of your case and trying to work it out from that and the specs provided OR googling for peoples reports using the otterbox with other chargers. I did the latter and this thread sounds like the consensus is all otterbox cases work with wireless charging https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/accessories/wire…

      • +1

I bought one anyway, cheap enough to be worth the risk (Galaxy S8 with Otterbox Defender). If anyone wants to know in about 3 weeks when it arrives send me a message and I'll tell you if it works or not.

        • +4

This is what concerns me. These deals gets voted up to 100+ and everyone is prepared to risk ~$12 for something that could be complete crap. At least 100x$12 for something that would be super cheap and mass produced is a decent profit for Gearbest/Lightinthebox/Zapals/etc but everyone else is out of pocket. Then due to this success these businesses keep stocking and promoting these crappy items and the cycle continues.

"Also it's good to know that it isn't brandedΒ konsmart." Whats yhat supposed to mean?

    • I like unbranded stuff. I think the op means it doesn't have "fast charging" emblazoned on it

    • +1

I took it as it's not a 'con'like the konsmart

  • Does anyone know of a wireless charger that can actually charge note 5 or similar with a thick case?
    Cheers…

  • Does I come in white?

  • I'm assuming this will charge a Samsung Note 3?

    • I found it pretty easy

  • Does this work with the Galaxy Note 7?

Does this work with the Galaxy Note 7

Assuming this is a genuine question about the Note FE and not a joke/reference about the issues the Note 7 had, then yes.

I bought one of these wireless charger and it damaged my opal card

    • What is an Opal card? The motherboard of your Opal phone? or does Opal make a card? Care to share more information?

      • It's myki for nsw ;)

        • Oh wow… Surly that's not what @bestbarginever means :'D

        • @plague69:

A lot of people keep their CC or transit card with their phone (e.g. under the back of the case or in the front cover). If these chargers cook these cards then it makes it more of a hassle to use them.

    • Thanks for sharing. Does wireless charging effect contactless cards? Besides the heat?

  • Lucky it did not damage my credit card. I would rather spend more $ to get a reputable one. You pay peanuts U get peanuts

    • +1

Wouldn’t a credit card get damaged cause credit cards have an induction coil to power the chip from memory. So a wireless power inductor would put too much charge through the chip of any card that has the chip and coil.

      • Yea i guess it depends on exposure - my credit cards don't usually go in the wallet case of my phone. My guess-timate is that it takes around 21 days X 8 hours of exposure to the wireless power inductor for any contact cards to start failing. It may take less than that time for the card to show signs of failure (eg multiple taps/retries)

  • Would this charge a samsung s7?

    • Yes

  • +1

Bought two and paid for shipping so I will get it in a week or so. Great find OP.

  • AC adapter not included.
You need a fast charge adapter for this to work

  • I don't care about speed because it will be a bedside charger, but you don't need a adaptor/converter do you?

I bought a more expensive one from Amazon that charges fast and I'm using an adaptor with - I don't even know if it's needed though.

  • Sweet! I just bought one for the work desk. Now to play the very long waiting game to receive it.

  • How do you change to USD?

  • How fast will this thing charge if you just used a normal charging adapter and cable?

  • +1

I believe it's now expired, shame as I wanted to get one. "Sorry, your coupon is expired (expiration date: 15/01/2018)".

    • I will see if the rep can extend it.

      • Haha, now I need a 2m micro USB cable. Hint hint :D

    • and if you want any more, here is good chance
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/358674

  • I'm having trouble with mine, the charging seems to switch on and off, with and without a case on. Anyone else having this problem? Iphone 8 if it makes a difference.

    • PM the rep here

    • I have the same issue, with both of the chargers, and both iphone Xs.

I have emailed the store. But will also PM the rep as per suggestion.

      • In my case it seems that the charger needs a slightly more beefy micro-USB cable, not just any will do.

I was using a cheap one because the supplied cable didn't reach as far as I needed and it kept failing, however once I include a Belkin cable its been completely fine.
