  • spare jugs price please

Spare jugs at $99 - to which we send you another full blender with free shipping. How's that.

      • -1

Does this mean a spare jug is not available?

        • +2

Not just the jug. We don't sell the jug on its own and if we did, we would price it at $99 (we did previously). Now the market is so competitive, we have reduced the price massively.

          @spectablend:

Please make yourself aware of Australian Consumer Law which clearly stipulates spare parts should be made available for a 'reasonable' time following the sale of goods.

          https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees…

Considering the scathing reviews regarding the build quality of this product I think it's reasonable to expect a spare jug is available to a consumer given it's apparent likelihood to fail. You should really fix your business attitude or cease trading in Australia.

        • @maxwellian: Hence, warranty is available - please review website, as well as a brand new blender available. Please read the website! :)

        • +2

          @spectablend:

A warranty which your website clearly stipulates misuse will void, and by the looks of responses on Product Reviews this looks to be a common allegation your organisation makes toward it's users. A 'new blender' isn't a replacement part, which a jug certainly is, being that it could simply be replaced by anyone without any special tools or training.

        • @maxwellian: Yes not a problem, we even have a spare part (driver socket) available in each brand new box. We often assist our customers with parts and such. But yes, since we updated our care instructions, we've had customers taking good care of their blenders.

        • -1

          @maxwellian:

I'm not sure I'm understanding the issue here.

I have a glass jug blender and its many many years old, I don't expect it to break.

Why would this plastic jug need replacing? Why not get a glass jug?

        • @samfisher5986: Glass jugs can't handle high wattage at 1500watts, whereas plastic jugs can handle it. But we have some customers that free their smoothies and reblend them… (not anymore since they told me about it and I ensured it's in Care Instructions).

But yes, since we updated our care instructions, we've had customers taking good care of their blenders.

You see? It was the customers' fault.

  • It's time to prepare the summer body.

Ain't a bit early to get worried about the summer body?

    • +2

Oh you know, post Christmas and New Year's celebration. I guess summer had only just arrived… grins

      • Oh you know, post Christmas and New Year's celebration. I guess summer had only just arrived…

Isn't it a bit late then? Lol

        • +2

Oh it's never too late. If it's too late then we prepare for summer later this year 2018 / 2019!!!

        • +1

@spectablend: Here i was thinking we all have summer bodies in summer.

        • @thevofa: I have winter body in summer. I need to drink more smoothies. Ate too much at Christmas. Hehe.

        • @spectablend: o.o your a special person.

  • +4

    even ice-cream!

Ice-cream even??!! Are you mad, no blender is that powerful!

    • Yes, absolutely! Slushie / smoothie / ice-cream - depends how you make it, can be very creamy.

    • Perhaps this is the dawn of an astounding technological breakthrough.

… the highest quality machine, inspired by commercial appliances.

      • ;)

We have sold almost 1000 pcs over the years and we only have a few pieces left.

So how did I manage to put 634 units into my cart?

    • Yours truly is a one-man band, does not have the technical expertise to fix that on WooCommerce. I have 20 blenders left in Axima warehouse in Laverton.

    • But if you'd like to buy 634 units…. winks I'll re-order, but have to wait for 2 months.

      • +3

I'll re-order, but have to wait for 2 months.

Why would it take 2 months? They take 23-44 days here

        • I cannot vouch for their quality. I've gone through extensive inspection for every unit to ensure quality control.

    • +1
      • Omg I love this!!! :)

    • Some beautiful reviews, some terrible reviews - as we are human. None of us are perfect; not the product, some of us abuse our blenders. Reviewers either love us to death or hate us to death.

      • Reading the productreviews on your blender it looks like a manufacturing fault or poor design.
FWIW I think you should either replace all the broken jugs for people or give them a full refund, if reported in the warranty period.

    • +3

Downvote as we have been burnt by this company. Rude management and condescending nature of interacting is on oat]r with other above observations.

I would not recommend this product to anyone, ever. The jug is where the problem lies. And even then the build quality is junk status.

Spend 500 or so more and get a vita mix that will last you 10 times longer and has amazing quality and customer service.

    • Oh yes, I can see that they find us as a real threat. They even buy google adwords "Do not buy Spectablend. Buy Optimum" Lol.

      • +1

that might possibly hold true. but I have opened up an Optimum 9400 (motor and jug assembly) for the fun of it and the parts that were mentioned in the document were exactly the parts that I disassembled and reassembled, can't say the same for spectablend as I have not had the pleasure of opening one up before, so not sure how accurate their descriptions are of spectablend parts.

Well, either they find spectablend a threat or they are so confident of their product (never seen an optimum being discounted to anything under $400) and are trying to put facts and provide fair warning to anyone out there who does their research on blenders with that document. Who knows?

        • Awesome, possible. Not sure, haven't used the Optimum before. Spectablend supports and promotes other blenders. There is always a blender for someone.

        • +1 for having opened up a froothie.

Trying to decide between a froothie and and vitamix atm

        • @Armyguy: Good luck!

  • +4

Looks like an exact copy of the froothie's OPTIMUM 9400. I have one of those, they are awesome, made with quality parts, stainless blades and metals bearings which is important if you are going to use a blender daily. 5 year warranty too.

Granted it is more expensive but worth it in the long. I have mine 3 years and no issues so far, blending most days too.

    • Price for optimum9400?

      • Granted, it is expensive, I got mine a few years back for 478 its now pricing at 691, it goes on sale regularly. I've never had an issue.

At 99 dollars for this one it might be worth a punt before splashing out.

    • Good for you, happy blending!

  • Thanks guys for the purchase, please keep them coming! :)

    • +1

I may just order the replacement jug at $99. What make this a deal compared to the replacement jug with blender?

      • Replacement jug - we don't stock just the jugs itself - so we would be sending you a full blender instead.

        • +3

Yes, for $99, so that us an everyday price right, which means there is no price reduced bargain here.

        • +1

          @chyawala: freaking LOL

  • Have one of these, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Logik-Octablend-Commercial-B… , cheaper and more powerfull.

Had one replaced under warranty, no issues at all.

    • +1

They have a very familiar logo.. hmmm….

  • I bought two of this last year, one for me and one for a relative and it is working fine.

Now want to buy another one as a present.

How many days does delivery take from Melbourne to Sydney?
    Thanks

    • Thank you so much, hope you enjoy blending. Melbourne to Sydney would be between 3-5 working days via Toll Ipec.

      • Thanks

  • +3

I want to buy one of these and send it to the guys at Blendtech and see… "will it blend"

    A blender, blending a blender… It's like.. blend-ception…

    • What a blendastic idea indeed! :)

    • +2

      That would be sblendid.

  • +2

Previously $399? Over inflated rrp. When your replacement jugs cost $99 and include a blender… we're these previously $399 aswell?

    • Yes, everything together was previously $399.

  • Hi I made an order, I got a call but by the time I went down there was no one nor there was any consignment trackin no.?
