Any good? Based in NYC, USA

Edit: NVM. Looks like a pretty ordinary VPN
    https://restoreprivacy.com/vpn-unlimited-review/

  • they also have lifetime Windscribe VPN unlimited for 30usd.
Which one is better? I have been using another life time vpn for 2years. Pretty good, guess with money saved, I'll get a backup.
When based in US, they have to comply to NSA etc.

I use Windscribe and happy with them.

      • Yes can say the same thing too

        • Is that free version or paid version? Is there free version good?

        • @AG1304x: well windscribe is the best free VPN, with voucher code gives you 60gb a month but limitrd servers. The paid one gives u the missing Australian server but all the speeds from the paid and the free have been identical so far. I used the us West one on the free version and testing it on the paid one it's the same.

    • I have had VPN Unlimited lifetime for two years, very, very ordinary.
I also have Windscribe lifetime and I use it all the time, here and overseas, much better than VPN Unlimited … can't remember the last time I used my VPN Unlimited service.

The 5 device limit is a big minus for me too.

I'd always be wary of lifetime VPN deals. It means they're probably harvesting your data or SOMETHING.

    • So they dont for customers on other subscriptions?
If no logs, what data could they harvest?
If they can/want to do that, no one is safe with them anyway.

I agree lifetime VPN deals are something to be wary of. The other possibilty is that they are having cash flow problems and need a quick cash boost to starve off closing down. All it does is make the problem worse and they collapse shortly later when the cash injection is spent and they have even more customers they can't service.

  • same thoughts as Jamesx.. which is better ? this or NordVPN / PIA / PureVPN ? I need it for KODI..

  • I have getflix subscription for netflix however only US region works now. Anyone recommend another VPN to be able to access Uk, Canada etc?

    • +1

I used to have getflix, but had numerous problems with other Netflix regions. I use Express VPN now, and have had no issues connecting to any region. A bit expensive compared to many others, but does work very well.

      • Thanks @never waz . How much is it a year? Also is it as easy to use as getflix. I liked the interface of getflix when changing regions

        Cheers again

No problem. I can't remember exactly but its about $120-130 per year. It gives a 30 day money back guarantee if you're not happy. It's probably a bit easier to install than the getflix VPN was, and has a widget that appears where you simply select the country you want and it connects to that one. Sadly my internet is a bit crappy anyway, but I don't have many issues connecting to any of the Netflix regions. They have "chat" support which I used quite a bit at the beginning (was trying to install it on my router, but decided it was not worth it in the end), and they were usually pretty good and sorted the issue out there and then.

Anyone considering a VPN should read this:

  • I bought one of these a year or so ago…. Does the job, I use it intermittently so I'm not super worried about speed.

I wouldn't recommend them if you intend to have it on all the time.

Avoid! Pretty much useless after the 1st year!

Advise avoid using this. Bought it at same price during Cult of Mac sale.
I just came back from China and the server speeds are really slow.

  • Anyone used this in China to access google products?

  • aka digital ponzi scheme.

  • This is showing $39.99 with code VPNSD40 brings down to $24.00 not $18.
