      Thanks, I found something when I searched with "IEC angled". I think it will suit the projector as it is fixed on the ceiling upside down.

    Not all HDMI cables are equal. HDMI 2.0 supports 4k 60fps. HDMI 1.4 supports 4k 30fps or 1080p 60fps. HDMI 1.4 does not have all the pins that HDMI 2.0 has. You'll find that you can't watch 4k 60fps content with a HDMI 1.4 cable, even if both the screen, and the device both support 4k 60fps.

      Thanks for explaining. So it is passive but just lacks the extra pins. I guess a bit like USB 3.0 cable has extra pins and wires compared with USB 2.0.
