  • Nice, I remember when Bigpond Music and iTunes used to do 50% off but now they only seem to do 25% off.

bandit usually have free credit once every month or two but it's been a while since I've seen any of those so this will do nicely.

    • The last 2 years (2008 & 2009) Bigpond Music have had 50% off their vouchers at Big W at this time of year (with the condition you use it by April(?)iirc)

  • Great first post - haven't seen any special with Bandit for a long time!

  • +1

Tracks appear to be $1.69 or $2.20 at full price ($0.845 and $1.10 after discount)

  • iTunes cards were recently 33% off at KMart for two $30 cards. Earlier this year Bigpond music was about 40% off at JB. Even if you're not a member Bigpond Music usually has cheaper tracks that Bandit.fm. I used to spend a bit at bandit along with all the free credits they were offering. But without the free credits to get me there I'd rather pay a bit less per track or cd at Bigpond Music. Still, 50% off of bandit cards is pretty darned good!!

  • Anyone know what the terms and conditions of these gift cards are. In particular, how long after purchasing till you "activate" the card, and how long after doing that do you have to spend the credit?

    • If you download the pdf from the link and zoom in, the advert says it's 30 day credit expiry.

I would assume that's not from the date of purchase but rather from the date of redemption but I couldn't say for sure.

      • I think the 30 day credit expiry refers to either the telstra or optus ad.

    • I've just purchased one, it says "Card credit becomes active at the time of the card's purchase and will remain valid for 12 months."

      • Thanks for the info, presumably that means you have 12 months to enter the voucher number on Bandit.fm Any indication of whether or not the credit has an expiry date once you have entered the voucher number?

        • They only mention that the credit balance and, history & expiry can be viewed in you bandit.fm account.

But I haven't put mine in so I don't how long it will last after entering the voucher number.

        • In case anyone is interested, I emailed bandit.fm about how long the vouchers last for, and here is their response:

You have 12 months to redeem your voucher from purchase and then once the voucher is redeemed
you have 12 months to use the credit.

        • hmm.. just for future reference.

it seems that it is only valid for 12 months from the day you buy the card.

          Bought on: 30/11/2010
Entered code in my account: 12/12/2010
Expiry date stated in my dashboard: 30/11/2011

  • I love bandit fm! It must be hard competing with iTunes for that share of the market to be honest. My local is a safeway (not branded to woolworths yet) so I am hoping they have them.

  • If I remember correctly, Dick Smith had this special last year.
