I have been looking for decent GTX1060 6GB for a while and found this one, which is part of boxing day sale. To me, it is a quite good price. Thanks.

  • Sorry guys. Thanks for adding the price.

  • Good price for 6GB version.

    • Agreed. For this price, it is hard to get 6GB but 3GB version.

      • I bought the 3GB version for $236 and I am only using it with 1080p so enough for me.

You can get it for $337.84 delivered from ebay with POWERUP code

They also have this one which you can get for $328 delivered - not the EXOC and I don't know the difference between the two

On a personal note, I built a computer a couple of years ago with an i7-4790 & 16GB RAM running Windows 7 Pro. I didn't put in a graphics card at the time and have been using the motherboard graphics. I've been thinking of putting in a graphics card, Was hoping to spend about $250 but could bump it up a bit if it will be worth it. Should I go this card or another? I'm not looking at overclocking.

I'd go with this card if your budget allows it. The upgrade from integrated graphics will be amazing. If you don't play very graphically intensive games maybe a 4GB gtx 1050ti would do.

      • Thanks for your reply. I have a lot of steam games I can't play & mostly play World of Tanks which recently has been crashing. I have two monitors, a Asus VE247H and a VP247HA. I'll check out the 1050ti.

I'd say stump up and get the 1060 6Gb. The card will outlast the rest of the gear.

        • @promethbastard:
          I'll grab the 3GB 1060.

@heal: The extra VRAM will be a boon if you end up getting into any higher end games. I generally go with getting the best you can get. Good luck. I have the 6GB version, runs smooth af.

If you are an Nvidia fanboy (like myself) go for it! The 1050ti at $150 or so is great value but if you want to feel the need for speed (while avoiding huge wallet burn) the 1060 is a great price vs performance point!

I just grabbed a MSI OC 3GB 1060 for $270 posted on ebay. The FPS difference wasn't enough between the 3GB and the 6GB for myself (plus I am not using it to play games anyway).

It will get that thing kicking along nicely! Just make sure your PSU is a high enough quality/wattage to take it (though it's not too bad now with TDP)

      • Thanks for your reply. I'll have a look at the comparison. I did get a decent sized PSU thinking I would some day put in a graphics card.

Just keep in mind Galax won't offer any firmware upgrades, and this is probably using Hynix VRAM which isn't particularly overclock friendly (though that matters slightly more for mining than gaming), especially if it's an older firmware.

Aside from that, this card has 2x DVI-D ports, 1x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI, compared to the 1/1/2 split you'll see on more premium cards/brands, so if you're currently using multiple monitors via HDMI, you're going to need an adaptor.

Is there anyone who received this card. SE has advised that they are out of stock and will not be shipping. Instead they are going to refund me. Anyone been in this situation?
