    Worked for me, thanks!

  • thanks OP - worked for me too. Start date : 28/12/2017 12:00:00 AM

  • +3

Tried, and got a response "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only. "

    • I got the same response when I tried the link while logged into our EBay store account. When I tried my personal account it went through OK.

But beware, the promo. doesn't start until 28/12

      • +1

        Nope for me… Ah well….

  • Worked for me woo!

  • -2

    Don't forget Cashrewards.

  • +1

Worked for me as well even though I accepted a similar offer in November.

Just to be certain, does the offer still apply even if the item is sold after the promotional dates but is listed during?

    • +1

Yes it does, the terms state that the item must be listed and available for purchase during the promo period.

As long as the item number doesn't change from relisting it you should be fine.

I always note the item number as these promos are always screwed up and you sometimes don't get the credit and have to contact support.

      • It depends on whether the item has been relisted automatically. If it has, fee free is gone.

        • I stated that.

  • Cheers OP :)

    Starts tomorrow btw not today.

    Not for me :( sad..

I received the email but was disappointed that the promotional offer is limited to:
    28/12/2017 to 31/12/2017

  • "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only."

    https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/71156b1e-4184-4593-8309-cd9159e…

  • Stupid question. Does the item have to sell by the 31st or just listed? Also what does it mean by single category? I have an old Iphone and Ipad I want to sell. Will that qualify? Thanks!

    • +2

      1) As answered above, just listed
      2) You can list a single item in more than one category by choosing that when you list. Just take the default single category and it's fine.

    • +2

Also what does it mean by single category?

It means you can only list each item in a single category.

EG: You could list a computer monitor under Computers or Electrical, but not both as that will incur an additional fee.

      • Thank you both. I did read the terms and conditions and it did make sense but appreciate the confirmation.

  • +1

dont forget if your buyer pays through paypal they will take 3%

    • +2

      2.6% + 30 cents.

    • And also don't forget you don't see any of your money at all for a number of days/weeks/longer if you are "new/unknown/trusted" to PayPal.
Yes, you get your money at the end, but it is NOT instantaneous for new users (those probably targeted in this promo).

  • So if you list something and set the listing period to 30 days or 'until sold' would the promotion still apply?

    • Already answered above.

      • Seems to be getting worse, members don't read the previous comments anymore?

        • Sadly nerds are a dying breed.

      • +1

No, I did read and my question wasn't answered. I'm specifically asking about listing items with the listing period 'until sold'. I realize items listed for 7 or 10 days will end and once relisted will no longer be valid under this promotion. However, if you choose 'until sold' will the listing be covered under the promotion even a year later if the listing is still active (theoretically).

That's my question. Ironic how people don't read themselves and jump to conclusions.

        • Sorry I should have said - members don't read the description or previous comments anymore.

        • @WatchNerd:

The description doesn't answer my specific question.

        • @manbearpig:

If you click on the link to the Terms & Conditions in the description, you will find the answer.
But I will copy & paste it for you as well -

          • Good ‘Til Cancelled listings created during the Promotion Period will be eligible for the promotion only until the listing automatically re-lists.
        • @WatchNerd:

Missed it. It was all the way at the bottom. Thanks. I wasn't aware that Good 'Til Cancelled listings even relisted. I thought they were permanently listed until sold or cancelled. Hence my question.

Looked it up and it seems they relist after 30 days.

        • No, I did read and my question wasn't answered.

It was, if the item number is the same (ie it's not relished) then that is OK.

  • +1

Perfect timing as have a couple of large items to sell.

  • -4

So, if I scheduled it now to be listed on 28 Dec, 12am, is it included/ eligible?

    • This didn't work for me with relistings last time in the promotion, unsure is scheduled listings would work though

  • Has anyone worked out how eBay targets these offers? I don't have access to this one but it would have been perfect, as I have free time and a lot to sell. I got an offer in November but the timing wasn't right - no time, hand't done a clean out yet :(

  • Is it ok to cancel an existing listing and relist?

    • Yes.

      • Thanks!

Also for some reason in my dashboard for this offer, it says 0 remaining, was there a cap on how many listings you can make under this offer?

    WARNING

CODE NOT WORKING!!! Hopefully working on final value fees, but not working on insertion fees! Don't use a subtitle and burn yourself $2.20!

    • +2

The promotion does not apply to fees for optional features or upgrades or any other fees that may be applicable.

Insertion fees are free, subtitles are an optional feature.

  • hrmm… so I need to be invited, how does one get an invite?

    • well, I went to sell and found my account has 40 slots available to sell for free (listing). www.sorted.com

  • Accepted the offer on 27th - showed the promotion starting 28th. Listed items on 28th (item sold today but got charged fees!). Also now under offers its showing the promotion will start on 29th?? WTH eBay

Anyone got a screenshot for 28th which they will be willing to share?
