Don't buy Samsung Fridge. It's crap.
Get Fisher and paykel, Mitsubishi or Sharp.My 3 year old Samsung French Door consistently has a problem with both of the ice maker and the fan in the fridge icing up, requiring 20 to 30 minutes of de-icing with a hair dryer every week.
Google these issues, they are very common.
Ouch, sounds terrible. We've had our Samsung french door (SRF639GDLS 639L) for just on 2 years and have been loving it. Only issue is that every now hour or so the inverter kicks in really loudly for about 10 seconds and then trickles down to a hum over about a minute or 2. Was really hoping it'd be much quieter but eh, not the worst.
My Samsung fridge's compressor died after 8 years. We found out after calling Samsung Tech back and forth about 4-5 times.
Probably too much Samsung bloatware. Oh, wrong product?
Ok after reading the product review site generally most people is happy with the fridge. Currently have the 690L side by side LG been for 15 years and no major issues like not cooling or freezing everything.
Thinking to upgrade to this new Samsung but I'm hesitant after reading the problem. How many of you that using this or similar fridge without an issues?
I've had the SRF639GDLS for 2 years, its a french door with a slide out freezer and its fine so far. My only gripe is that it isn't as quiet as I would like. This one would have a better freezer design since mine has buckets which mean you don't get the full use of the space and things are hard to see in there. My brother has a similar fridge to this but with the smart features, like a monitor built into the door and inward facing camera. He hasn't had any issues so far.
