Just looked around for a mattress and went lying around on a few mattresses in from a few stores and found that the pureform memory foam from Amart furniture to be a decent deal that suits my current needs.
Not entirely sure about the quality of this but am lying on the pureform comfort memory foam pillow https://www.amartfurniture.com.au/pure-form-59284/ $25 and I am happy with it.

    This is probably one of those 15 kg/m3 density type of cheap foam with a solid core rather than open cell. Might be ok for a cheap short-term throwaway.
