Awesome price for these Speakers! Cheapest I have seen. Way better than UE Megaboom. I've used this a few times at a park and would have to turn it down as it gets pretty loud.

Only in blue it looks like.
Awesome speakers!
I was thinking of getting portable speakers for the misses for Xmas, as she has been talking about them for a while.
I was hoping for something that's good enough to turn up inside to get down to, but also portable enough to take on a picnic.
Think these will do the trick?
Nevermind, all out of stock in canberra.
Yes. Factor in the size/weight of this beast though. A cheaper option is the Charge 3 or Flip or UE Boom 2
Was spewing as I thought I'd gotten the best deal for the Charge 3 from JB yesterday for $149, but looks like GGs are sold out now anyway, which lessens the blow somewhat.
Where are you getting that price? Comes up $157 for me.
@Snikeron: 20% off code
@njrobbo: turns out I could still add it to my cart for click and collect. Didn't work the first time even though showing as in stock, tried another store and it went through.
Charge 3 is awesome, just wish it kept itself upright when it's floating around in the pool, it falls forward in the water (due to the weight distribution) and the sound becomes muffled and crappy. Guess it'll just stay next to the pool…
Charge 3 is quite good compared to others in the price range.
Charge 2+ sounds better, is smaller and feels sturdier. I'd rather have my friend's 2+.
Also, Flip 4 isn't bad - compared to the bad Flip 3.I don't think it's actually designed to float IN water and play music.
No Spectator it isn't, but it'd be a pretty cool feature, don't you think? I think it would!
the thing would have to be massive, to increase surface area for it to float wouldnt it? since the weight? just chuck it onto something that floats
Yep! Boogie board!
This thing is huge , pushing the limits of what's portable for some,
but if you want the best .
Would probably have jumped on this if I didn't get a Megaboom for $179 when Officeworks had their 'mistaken' price. These are indeed great speakers. However they have two downsides -
The base is overemphasized. I have to use a equalizer on my phone to correct that. Of course it is by design, doesn't make it right.
The start up and shut down sounds are horrific, and LOUD. I HATE them. And there is no way to turn them off. They literally are louder than the music in some cases. I would not buy another JBL Speaker again unless they fixed this.
Otherwise, is serving me well.
Great price for this speaker.
