  I am usually a mens size medium, but based on their size chart I ordered a small, which fits me fine.

  But my wife is a size 6 and I ordered a size six womens which was exactly the right size everywhere except around the hips. It has no "female flare" from waist to hip at all, the jacket is dead straight from the waist down. Its shaped like a mens jacket. Just be aware of that when ordering.

    Yeah light showers are ok. Proper rain or rolling around in the snow (how i ski) not ok - waterproof shell is required
