  • Says sold out online and instore. No price listed anymore. Guess you better be quick to your local.

  • Dumb qn… for 3D, would you need a different version? Like, a 3D version of the movie?

    • Yes, and at the moment I think only Panasonic TV owners can get it (but don't quote me).

    • yes and I wouldnt buy it because its evident theyre trying to milk as much money as they can from this.

      normal edition
      normal edition with specials
      extended edition
      3d edition

i'd wait till they have everything together on one pack if you like seeing smurfs on steroids.

  • 3D is exclusive to Panasonic TV bundle. And the Tin case version listed in original post is exclusive to JB.

  • is the tin case worth it? does it come with anything else, because extra $21 for a case is not worth it.. usually case is given away free.

  • Here are some more tin case info:

"This Limited and exclusive box set includes: Extended Blu-ray Collector's Edition of Avatar (3 discs), Limited Edition Film Cell from the movie and the Making of Avatar production booklet"

    • A more expensive box set.

    • Limited Edition Film Cell

Limited? Movie was digital, so they cannot mean an original negative cell. Must be from a print.
One print is 230,000 frames, must be at least 5000 made, so that is over a billion film cells.
I can't see this being worth anything, unless it shows the equivalent of Han Solo shooting first.

  • Great price for those who didn't buy the original edition.

    • … and who don't care about getting the stereoscopic version.
