    My LG Ultrawide works fine.

    I am using 2017 iMac with USB-C to HDMI adapter from JB.

    The iMac can recognize the correct resolution 2560*1080 and everything just works.

    PS: I am running latest version 10.13.2

      I notice that your USB-C to HDMI adapter supports up to 4K video. I wonder if that's why it works.

      I do wonder if these people having the resolution issue might be using a HDMI adapter which doesn't support any more than 1920x1080 video.

    There is a photo picture mode but i think the monitor is mainly focused towards gaming. It doesn't mean you couldn't use it for simple photo editing. But it wouldn't be up to the quality of the likes of say a Dell Ultrasharp.
