Hey Op, could you add some pricing pls?

  • Price in the title please

  • $57 per month for this and 5GB for 24 months?? All to get a pair of headphones with an RRP of $119.95 and an Oppo phone? No thanks.
It isn't worth it in the slightest for me, considering the current Optus deal.
EDIT: Those prices above are for 36 Months

I'm so confused what the actual cost is here, discount only applies for some of the time? Minimum cost is only $678 or so? How does that make sense?

It says 36 months ! Even more confusing

  • Virgin Mobile is offering the same phone with $40 plan 3GB data $0 phone cost for 24 months + $100 cashback + cashrewards too…

Don't bother with Oppo if you care for the latest operating system with Android. I have the R9s Plus which they said they were going to update to Nougat but it's never happened and their communication with their Aussie customers is pretty standard text book answers OR no answers at all. Otherwise the phone itself is pretty good. I'll personally never get another Oppo and will be looking to go back to Samsung at some stage.

    • You're going back to Samsung for regular updates? 😱

In my experience, Samsung are one of the worst for updating their OS!

(Not that I'm saying this is better mind you!)

      • Haha..I have more faith in Samsung than Oppo. I saw a list of all the Oppo phones that won't be getting the Oreo update and my phones on the list so I'll just root the phone and go from there. Last update this R9s phone had was back in June or July this year pathetic. I'm glad I didn't buy the newer R11 because that was on the list for not getting Oreo either.

These phones should be dirt cheap if they won't provide the support and suddenly make the phone out dated.

Oppo after sales support is bad.

It's ironic that they are pairing the phone with a wireless headset even though it's widely known that Oppo phones have problematic Bluetooth chips.

I want to neg this just based on 36 month contract. That can't be serious for an Oppo phone. That can't be serious for any phone. Are they offering a 3 year warranty to go with it??

    • Probably worth mentioning Woollies/Oppo don't offer loan phones if the Oppo phone craps up, which it will at some point.

  • +1

Don't buy Oppo if you want your android to be safe & secure. They don't release any security updates & before they promise regular updates but they DONT deliver it.
    &
This deal is for 36 months! Don't tie your self here now days it is getting much cheaper & more data so wise advise is don't tie your self for more than 12months if you really wants cheaper monthly charges.

36 months is a ridiculous length for a contract, the phone will be lucky to last that long and the discount for that length doesnt seem to be worth it.

Small - $48.02/mth 36mths (does not include the discount for the first 12mths)

    Phone is $597 at OW.
    $1728.72 - $597 = $1131 for 36 month contract.
The headphones are $89 currently at OW.
1131 - 89 = $1042. There are some discounts that can come off but as it stands, $29 per month for 36 months. (excluding headphone and phone cost)

Speak for yourself, but that's not something I want to lock myself into for the next 3 years.

  • 12 Buck more and you could get yourself a much better phone via optus.
