Long time lurker, first time poster.

Been looking to get into the DSLR game for a little while now, nearly pulled the trigger on this when it was around $650. This looks like the cheapest price currently if you have JB 5% off code for wicked wednesday.
Sale on camera ends on the 10/12 but the extra 5% expires today.

From my research this is pretty much the best beginner DSLR you can get under $500-$600 and beats out the Canon equivalent, the 1300D

Harvey Norman has price beat this deal at $561 https://www.harveynorman.com.au/nikon-d3400-dslr-camera-with… but I'd rather pay the extra $20 and get a $100 JB voucher instead of the 500 6x4 prints.

      Yeah, those Nikon Cashback deals were sweet. I recall the D3400 on its own coming down to under $400 with their cashbacks.

    Bought this camera last year at JB-Hifi for $509 (with bonus $100 voucher), it is a very good entry level camera and excellent for landscape and stills. However it's limited to 11 AF points so my action shots were sometimes blurry. Sold it on eBay and bought a used d5500 from Ryda six months later
