Anyone have any trouble receiving the activation email to confirm the subscription?
I got mine back straight away when I subscribed.
Must just be me then, I tried using 2 different email addresses though..
EDIT: Received 1 now :)
I subscribed, got the book, then unsubscribed…
cheeky bugger ;)
Fantastic freebie!
Looking forward to getting my copy of "The Enemy".
I can read it in the shitter. lol.classy
Will be good if toilet paper isn't included in the Coles/Woolies specials this week!
[edit] Ignore this! ;)
Good find! Lets hope they run out and send me a completely different book to any of those three.
As they are only giving away the books in HTML, Text or Mobile formats and not hard copies, perhaps it would be easier for someone who has already subscribed to provide links to the free books.
Sorry, my mistake in causing the confusion. You do indeed get a Hard Copy; I mean a softback copy. Still confuse? ;)
Perhaps you could mention in the title and the post that it is a digital book, there is no hard copy.
where does it say that?
Preferred format
- HTML
- Text
- Mobile
I didn't receive any "digital" copies of the book after subscription
I did get an email that said "you're free book is on the way"
I assume thats the reason why they asked for a postal address..
that preferred format thing usually refers to the 'subscription' to their mailing list, and how you want the email formatted
its a physical book, that format is for the newsletter they send you.
Ah, fair enough, my bad…I was assuming electronic format! As you can see, I didn't bother signing up! ;)
I was under the impression that the preferred format was referring to the newsletter that you were signing up for. But you get a physical book for signing up. Hm.
Well, I for one am looking forward to actually reading 'The Enemy', as I am a young adult who enjoys books. Whee~
Apparently "Young Adult" is ages 14-21
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young-adult_fiction
Was tempted to get it (being "free") but don't think I would realistically read the free copy in the library so I'll let someone else have mine (as long as they actually read it!) ;-)
Holy Sith!..I put in the wrong address…my neighbours might be getting some new books pretty soon!
Lucky them. Maybe my neighbour will do the same and I'll end up with 2 books. :)
looking forward to my 'the enemy'. hope its a good book and not too childish!
On the page above the form it says:
A new BTL subscriber offer is coming soon!
Does this mean there would be no more free books?I didn't even get a chance to select which book I want. It told me at the end that the book I selected will be sent out… what?
Looks like the free book offer isn't on anymore, the link on the Between the Lines blog no longer mentions receiving a free book.
After almost 4,000 click throughs from us OzBargainers, I'm not surprised that they've taken the offer down :-)
3852 clicks and only 57 positives, cheapskates lol
My free book arrived in the mail today.
Got mine today
I haven't got mine yet still waiting
Thanks :)
