  • How many $5 credits can SCA hand out?

    • +2

      Till they get Super Cheap!

    • +2

Have to remember that most of these would go unclaimed, and the $5 credit is off retail price, not cost.

      So… perhaps a lot?

      • Click and Collect. Handy if you have family members signed up.

        • +3

I dont think the fam will line up again for a bucket and 4 export degreasers again … or will they? I could hide the last lot(s) we got and say we need to make a trip i guess?

        • +4

@MorriJ: You can authorise another person to pick up the order on your behalf when you make your order. Just nominate yourself, & you're sorted! All the buckets & degreaser as your heart could desire, with none of the annoyed family members, unless they found out you've stolen their identities to exploit this promotion. ;)

        • -2

          @LustStarrr:

I'd pick up your order for you any day.

  • after the current sale of course

  • +4

    free $5 credit

Thanks OP, I get to get my second spark plug for 26c delivered.

    • +4

      i'm on a similar trajectory..

    • +8

At this rate I will have enough spark plugs for my Aston Martin V12 Vantage by 2020.

    • +2

Ordered some new spark plugs for my Diesel

    • you get what you pay for !

I only buy NGK or Denso plugs.

      • +1

Picked up NGK plugs on special a while back for just over $5 & applied voucher. Had 4 vouchers - 4 plugs almost free🎉
NGK for cents - you get what you (don't) pay for!😉

Anyone know if 5-7pm is EST/EDST or WST for West Oz?

Also, it looks like you won't get a credit to spend on Wednesday, but a credit after you spend on the day. Which you then have to spend before it expires (within one month?).

    Not great really.

  • +1

Upvoted. Thanks. I use these free $5 credits to bring vanilla air fresheners down to a couple of dollars.

Which also saves on deodorant if I know I'll be driving for a while. ;-p…

    • +2

saves on deodorant if I'll be driving a while

Hahaha there is certain things that Ozbargainers should and do scrimp on, but personal hygiene should not be one…
Admire your originality though, I am just going to sit in a room full of candles before I go anywhere next time :P

  • +1

Free bbq or drinks by any chance?

  • Stocking up batteries

    • +2

You mean small AA, C, D, etc. batteries? Nah - use them once then toss them - false economy. I've still got the first eneloops I bought years ago. They're still going strong. ;-p Instead get something you have to buy at some stage anyway. Car wash, wiper blades, blinker bulbs…

      • Eneloops are good, but free batteries are free.

        • +4

…yeh but wasteful and bad for the environment

        • @franco cozzo: not my problem mentality tho

  • +1

Does anyone know when their next 20% off store wide sale will be?

    • They were having them about once a month earlier in the year… Seems like it's been a fair while since their last one.

I'm wondering if their marketing strategy has changed and they aren't going to be doing the storewide 20% off thing anymore (or at least no where near as much).

  • +1

Good timing, I need to buy some polish for my car, a idiot women scratch my car and drove away.

    Cheers OP.

  • +5

What kind of mechanics calendar doesn't have models in front of the cars?
    PC gone mad!

    • …tis a sad state of affairs indeed. :(

  • +1

    Meh… Just received the email…

In very big letters: "Great credit offer for the night."
In very small letters: "Threshold spend required."

    • As stated in the linked promotion since deal posted.

  • Might have to rescind my positive vote depending on how much the threshold spend is.

  • +3

email came to activate the credit. clicked on it but hasn't appeared yet.

anyway here's the all products $5 and under link

    • my $5 credit is activated :)
      Thx for the link CVon
BTW who would ever pay 50c for a paint can opener?? Isn't that what butter knives are for? (haha - I'm just a girl :P )

    • Was there a threshold spend amount at all? Thanks.

      • +1

I don't think so…it has just added $5 credit to my online account
I am in the process of ordering, so if there is a threshold I will get back to you

update: I spent $5.49 online and all good :)

ToolPro dry-bags are on sale, they're fairly good value, (especially with the $5 voucher):
    http://search.supercheapauto.com.au/search?w=dry%20bags

    • +1

Good find. We were just discussing the thinner dry-bags at sister business BCF. (Current $10 vouchers) Boughy a 15L for $1.89 less 7% CashRewards (hopefully).

These look much sturdier & have handy straps. (Better to get a larger size & fold down smaller.)

Thought there was almost no stock near me in Brisbane. Tracked down a 10L - a bit small & a bit far, then almost same price 20L around the corner😁 So $5.75 after voucher for the 20L is value👍 (30L is under $3 more.)

      • +3

I grabbed a 30L today as a spare to go with my 40L SCA and old BCF ones:
        https://ibb.co/g2hN56
        https://ibb.co/c78qsm

        • +2

Now you're just making me jealous😁
Great photos👍 I can see why you need sturdy bags!

        • The BCF ones are for simple camping & travel - light weight & window to see what is inside. Don't know if these are much heavier with heavy duty materials. I take mine on as carry-on so needs to be light but durable.

    • +1

      I prefer moist bags…

  • Would they chuck a free calendar with a Click-n-Collect order I'm wondering?

    • +1

if youve got a nice store and they have spares…my experience is yes. just ask…
scored the calendar and a freebie gulf western trucker cap last year :D

    • Any other members not receive an email?

      • I haven't received anything yet, and have always received these every other time. It will probably come through eventually.

        • No email for me either…..

      • Got the original email, but nothing today.

      • got the first email but not the credit email.

  • -1

How is it a "Free $5 Credit No Purchase Required", you can only use it when spending money.

    • +3

You get the $5 Credit without buying anything - just activate it via link in email. As it says.
It's up to you what you do with your credit after that.

      • +1

^ what he said…once youve activated you can spend that fiver and only that if you want to…

        • +2

Yes, grab your free credit, then buy an item up to $5 & no money is spent😉

        • @Infidel: i.e. 'free shit'…. :P

        • +1

          @franco cozzo:
Some people can't stop spending at just $5 when they want a great bargain😉

  • Pity their site isn’t iPad friendly. Always have to use the phone to confirm details when trying to place an order.

  • i never got no email with $5 CREDIT AND IM SUBSCRIBED TO THE NEWS LETTER IS THIS A RANDOM THING.

    • Are you a club plus member? Have you checked your spam folder? If yes to the above, 🤷‍♂️.

      • Yeh been a member for a year or more nothing in spam from ava.

        • Never got one either and checked spam etc but purchased some things and got $5 off.

    • Yeah, I never got it this time either. I suspect their email client fell over. These sometimes come through around 10pm for me. This time nothing. Not phased, I would have bought stuff. So thanks Supercheap.

      • +1

Contact them, they usually apply $5 to your account. Happened to me before, I thought I never got the email so I told them and they gave me credit a coupla days later which had a longer expiry. Turns out I just missed seeing the email (wasn't even in my spam but inbox lol).

  • Supercheap I went to make it clear for purchases in store only.
They won't give the calendar out for any click and collect purchase.

Also I had to call Supercheap Online up for the Club Plus Loyalty Credits.
The Castrol Magnatec went on club special and SCA didn't issue Club Plus Loyalty Credits for this.

Apparently the club special are not automatic loyalty credits.

    • They won't give the calendar out for any click and collect purchase. Not correct.
Asked for calender at pick up of order at 4:30 Wednesday - got calendar. Did same last year at different store. Calendars maty be available next day - ask.

      • ^…what he said ;)

asked for calendar at pickup of click & collect order at 3:45pm Wednesday - got calendar too…

you must have failed the 'attitude test' :P

        • Attitude test usually is basis for getting many good bargains, & gracefully moving on to next deal if you miss out😉
As my Mum used to say "Ask nicely!".

      • Both order and pick up on the same day which was the club day. As per TOS its actually in store purchase only. So they are correct. However, I have never seen it so strictly enforced.

    • Have received Credit every time offered. Make sure account is set up to receive promotions & commications. Otherwise you will miss out.

      • The item I didn't receive a credit for was Castrol Magnatec Engine Oil -10W-40, 6 Litre. To confirm I was a club member and the item was purchased on my club account 2 days before the special.
SCA confirmed the item was never update in their system. Either way I am letting people know if they didn't receive their credit to call SCA.

I got told this problem relates to the club special.
