Went go buy nappies and wanted get a cheap sim to port my about to die Telstra Freedom Plus away for the JB gift voucher deal, grabbed a $10 Amaysim starter pack and scanned at $2. I did not find it from the search. Would be good for the transition.
Checked on Amaysim website, $10 is good for 28 days with unlimited SMS and calls plus 1G data.

There's no expiry date on these, but there's a note that it should be activated within 1 year of purchase. Not sure if they will (or can) enforce it.

Thank you sir. I grabbed the last 4 at my local. On the way home I got some petrol at the coles express and they had $10 Optus starters for $3.
It is better than Optus $2 prepaid sim, which is useless for Sim hopper, as Optus now asks you top up before the sim is activated.
Maybe I'll grab one for an old ipad in my possession.

North Sydney had $10 Amaysim starter packs with a different look but they rang up as $10.
Got 2. They had $10 ones (not the same in catalogue) that said $10 when I did a price check but whenI put them through they came up as $2.
I am churning from Telstra prepaid when my billing cycle finishes at the end of the month. How do I set this up so I can port my number to the amaysim sim?
There is a little catch here, you need to port your number early enough so your old profile gets removed from Telstra otherwise JB can tell you were Telstra customer and won’t do it. According to another post it is always worth to talk to the store manager, do it when possible
Oh I don't want to do that deal. I just need to move away from Telstra now that Google play doesn't work. The $10 amaysim is perfect for my needs, I just want to minimise crossover between the two carriers when I change to get my money's worth
You may want to consider the Lyca mobile Groupon 3 recharges deal as well. Need to use by mid Jan, might just work for you after the Amaysim.
