Review

In a frantic battle to the chequered flag, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing sees Sonic and friends speed around tracks set in mediaeval castle ramparts, lush rainforests and bustling cities, all taken from the visually rich and varied universes of Sonic and SEGA. Fan favourites such as Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more will join Sonic in their custom built vehicles, revving their engines and jostling to stay ahead of the pack. Each character will race around the track in cars, planes, motorbikes, and in AiAi's case a banana mobile! Secret short cuts, swift handling and avoiding strategically placed obstacles are certainly the best way to get to the top of the podium. And winning is only part of the fun in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing! Each character has a specific All Star move such as Super Sonic, Banana Blitz and Tails Tornado, allowing a quick way for competitors to get back into the race! Power ups and weapons can also be collected around the tracks and used against the opposition to ensure they don't become a threat to that number one position Players can battle it out in single or multiplayer mode, allowing up to four friends to race in frantic split-screen action, or up to eight players to compete online in the ultimate racing showdown. Can Amigo scramble Dr. Eggman? Will AiAi say bye-bye to Tails? Are you gonna be faster than Sonic? The race will start in 2010.

This is a very good game for children up to early teens. It is complementary to the Mario Kart. Both will provide hours of fun. Good price.

  • Pity that the Wii version isn't the same price as I've heard that this is a really fun game.

I have the game - Mario kart is better

doesnt come close to mario kart 64. this post, and the post above me is relevant because: i liked mario kart 64 a lot. i was searching for a current game which would be just as good. i tried this game, and felt it didnt have the same elements which made mario kart 64 good. i didnt enjoy this game, and traded it away.

so i hope my comments, and damo's comments can help potential buyers to understand that if they are looking for a new mario kart which they can play on ps3, they will be dissapointed with this.

For 23 bucks? if it's half decent it's a bargain imo, reviews mark it fairly well, but always good to hear peoples opinion on games.

    • i should have also said, if mario kart isnt a benchmark for you, youll probably like this game

Did you know that 365games.co.uk has an aussie sister site? You guys should check out www.ozgameshop.com instead. It's pretty much the same as 365 but what's better is that the currency is AUD and no conversion is needed. Free shipping to australia and new zealand too!

And if you're after the sonic game, the link is here:
    http://www.ozgameshop.com/ps3-games/sonic-and-sega-all-stars…

    • Ahh nice, 365games.co.uk does offer free shipping to OZ and even with currency conversion the price was still slightly under the price on ozgamshop.com (23.29AUD using paypal vs 23.99AUD as ozgmaeshop, but banks may offer better exchange rates), I'd assume they would ship from the same place.

Good to know they have a sister site tho, I've book marked it for future purchases.
