Good deal. Might have to see if they have any other good deals.
any other good deals.
Good deal, bad game.
Eeexcellent game, Good deal. be warned, steep learning curve. you will die. hundreds of time. and many many more.
So just like the Souls games? Perfect
I just started playing it on PC about a week and half ago after it's released on steam.
Errrr, definitely not as good as Souls game mate, and definitely not as hard/challenging as well. Boss battles are not as good, environment design is average, story is weak to be honest.
Hey, just my opinion, but this is in no way a 9/10 game like those Souls game. Definitely a lot of fun and I'll still give it an 8/10, but the game is not THAT great.
on the contrary, I couldn't get into Souls game. they're both hard, I just find Nioh to be more fast paced game rather than painstakingly slow Souls game. Timing is everything in both games, Nioh is faster in combat than Souls which I prefer.
Yeah I suppose it really depends on your preference.
@super poor: After playing Nioh and going back to Dark Souls 3 it really makes me appreciate how responsive and fast Nioh is. I'd dare say it's the best "souls" game since the original Dark Souls.
@Yuri Lowell: How would it compare to bloodborne in terms of responsiveness?
@buckster: I have finished both games and nioh is much faster paced and responsive especially with a light armour build, you take more damage but move quicker and have more stamina. I also found nioh a much easier game than bloodborne. The difficulty was definitely toned down from how it was in the beta.
I found the game to be quite easy. Especially if you gear up from defeating "phantoms".
I found it got easier the further you get in. The hardest bosses were the first 3 or 4.
Good Deal. But not buying - had enough of dying with the Souls Games…..
Lol this game is amazing
I was really starting to get into this game but had to give up at the first boss (the dude in the ship with the giant balls). After dying and restarting about 46 times the most I had chopped off him was like 25% health and my mind was like "You've been at this nearly 2 hours. This is not an effective use of your time". I love a challenge, but cmon. I even had all the buffed starting items from the Deluxe edition and I just got wiped again, and again, and again. Might be someone's idea of fun, but when I've got really limited gaming time, I don't want to spend that getting wound up.
Regardless, it's a great price.
Thanks for the info. Trying to find reasons not to get this. I already have 2 games where I cannot even finish chapter 1. Really don't want to buy another one. Maybe get the PC version once someone comes up with invincible mod or unlimited health mod…. lol…
WHAT ARE THE OTHER GAMES?
I'm guessing one of them is cuphead!
@tre180: GAAAAAAAARRRHHHHH - It is for me! Whats with the awesome art style that makes you think this game will be a breeze but it is so damn frustrating!
Driveclub is one of them. The other one I prefer not to mention (it's pretty embarrassing).
I also sold crash bandicoot n sane trilogy because it's too hard for me.
I am very lousy at games. I need games with super easy mode or story mode.
This game, I think it might be better I just want someone else plays.
@netsurfer: You can't finish the first chapter of Driveclub?
@netsurfer: can you please tell the other game, the suspense is killing me.
@Shaun Prawn: I suspect rocket league
@ZubatRingo: I suspect The Sims 4
@cnut: Told you I am very bad at games, didn't I? It took me 8 or 9 attempts to finish the first race in top 3 (and I had to drive in one particular view/pespective) to do it. After that, I just couldn't be bothered because that's just the first race. It could also be that I wanted to play Uncharted 4 at the time. Never got back to playing Driveclub again (I did buy pre-owned copy (was dirt cheap), but still… it wasn't a good buy for me).
I bought GT Sport and Forza Horizon 3 recently. I just hope those 2 are easier. I need to stop impulsive purchases.
@cnut: Killzone: Shadow Fall. It's actually chapter 2, but chapter 1 doesn't count. Chapter 1 is intro/background story. The most embarrassing part is that I picked the easiest difficulty already.
@netsurfer: GT has a difficulty setting so you can dumb the AI down. Horizon can get tricky.
I thought Drive Club also had a difficulty setting.
You've saved yourself a lot of trouble. KSF is an awful game imo. Controls and movement are really bad and I found the story unengaging.
I was stuck on that boss for a while too until I figured out different stance had different dodge/attack speeds and block/attack power etc.
Trick is never be greedy with your attacks and you'll do fine against all the bosses but with limited gaming time patience would be on short supply.
patience is virtue william-san. meow
Yeah thing is though then when you're a kid you don't mind banging away at a stage for 4 hours because you're a kid and you've got no schedule or real responsibilities. As an adult 4 hours is my leisure time for 3-5 days depending on what I've got on, and if I spend all of it losing to the same boss, I've really just spent an extra 4 hours doing chores.
you're approaching the game the wrong way, it's not a hack and slash game otherwise it'd be called 'something-warriors' game.
might I suggest, slash, retreat, slash retreat? find some youtube videos, that's what I'd do after maybe an hour stuck on a boss or a level, you still want a bit of challenge on a game. and you're right, anymore than that I'd stop and think of another game.
Don't you wish you could pay some money to get a special weapon which made thigs easier so that you could experience the pride and sense of accomplishment that paying your way through games gives you?
Yes, I need an invincible or unlimited health mod. PC version is out now so there is hope for lousy game players like me.
He is not that hard, just dodge to his back and attack him no more than 3 times in every round. And be careful when he throws the balls.
The second boss Hino-Enma is tougher and so is the Umi-bozu, very tough for starter.
Currently I am playing way of the demon, u will be killed in no more than 2 hits no matter who.
See, it really depends on the player though. For me, that first demon boss with 2 giant steel balls was very hard. I had to redo the fight 20+ times until I finally defeated him.
The second boss Hino-Enma, the flying demonic girl, I managed to kill her on my fifth try, she's quite easy for me.
Umi Bozu, while very hard, was not as hard as that first boss. I managed to kill him on my 8th/9th try.
It depends on what kind of player you are. Different players will find different bosses hard/easy.
Wow that game is hard? lol
Yeah was about to pick this game up last week when JB Hi-Fi had the $24 deal and was reading what people had to say on Reddit and other places and most people believe that this game is harder than Dark Souls. I dropped my interest after that :P.
What? No way, Dark Souls was way harder than this game to me. This game is not that hard.
Really depends on which round and did u finish all the submissions?some submissions(vs two bosses) in the third and fourth rounds r much much harder than dark soul.
Nioh Way it's this cheap!!
The new "Nioh Complete Edition" is about to release next month. It is just a clearance…
Who cares what it is, it's cheap.
If you're wanting all the expansions as well, it's generally cheaper to buy a "complete edition".
If the complete edition is <$60.95 ($23 + $37.95 for season pass on PSN) I'll stand corrected.
I want LA Noire on PS4 for cheap.
There are a LOT of cheap games in the EB sale. I bought too many I'm ashamed to admit.
me too…
iv spent around 500 dollars on second hand games. (around 30 games)
Thanks OP, I grabbed it this morning. The store I went to still had a $77 sticker on it but it scanned at $23, much to the clerks surprise, and the bloke behind me who saw this and rushed back to grab a copy for himself lol.
I picked it up from eb last week was stickered $99 then $47 scanned at $23. Great game and it is definitely a challenge hopefully I won't be distracted buy the other games that just arrived from jb and I can finish it.
Final Fantasy 15 for $19 is not a bad price as well. Remembered picking it up on launch day on my xbox like an idiot for $79. Always wanted it on PS4 instead so might bite and sell my xbox version. Also Arslan is $19 as well for all the people that held out for that, its a dynasty wariors-like game is good especially if you like the anime. Surprisingly its not shown in their $19 section so I thought I'd mention it.They also had Gravity Rush HD up briefly as well but goddam I missed out.
EDIT* Gravity Rush HD appear to be back up for $19. But $9 shipping hurts a little. But bundled with Arslan is still $9 so I'll probably bite as there is nowhere cheaper right now.
Thank PO. Got one. I've missed the Black Friday deal
I've got Soul 3 and Bloodborne in my collection and they are freaking difficult for me. And I'm also a bit tired of their art style, too dark and dusty. I am a big fan of Onimusha 3 on PS2 and it has very similar background with Nioh, Samura sword fighting Japanese ancient monsters. Very looking forward to playing Nioh
As a massive fan of the Onimusha series, I can confirm the gameplay is nothing like Onimusha. Much more like soulsborne games.
Yeah I know I am also soul fans. So it's like Onimusha background + soul fighting. ++
Have been playing this game for 4 hours after picking up.
It's awesome. It just has everything I want in an action-rpg game. Solid action mode, the gear system is a bit broken but also lots of fun, various playing styles and etc. Moderate difficulties, or kinda easy if you are a hardcore soul player. Story is mediocre but who cares.
Is this game related to the Souls franchise? or are people just saying its similar style? I don't play Souls so wouldn't pick this up if its anyway related.
Completely unrelated. It's just similar style in terms of gameplay and and above average difficulty. Also has the same 1 chance to reclaim you upgrade points (called amrita in nioh) after you die, but if you die again you lose them. It's a pretty awesome game, much faster paced than souls, and quite a bit easier I think.
Uhgh! Just picked this up 2 weeks ago to play while I recover from collarbone surgery for $68 - used! I am absolutely kicking myself….
Great game, but yes very difficult (mainly the bosses). It just took me about 20 tries and 30 minutes to beat the lightning dog, but the accomplishment is worth it!
At that price why wouldn't you just buy a digital copy or something from the US PSN Store?!
Digital downloads aren't an option with my internet connection
Its showing $47 for me online now, has this finished or is my connection being stupid?
Also saying $47 new now too… good old EB…
Thanks for letting me know, so would this be another changing the deal half way through like they did with the black Friday ps4 pro deal.
I missed the deal
Anyone in Melbourne wanna sell me the game?
Oh Nioh!!!
