usb cable does seem to work to charge it and its a pretty good chopper for the price

Depends what size this is , if its a mini then price is pretty average.
Seen some on ebay $25 delivered from Sydney.
If you want to import yourself , starts around $20 I think.
Most important thing to check is availability and price of spare parts.
