this is a shopify store that dropships from China, can I neg the deal?

    • Our watches are Japanese movement and Bands are genuine leather made out of south Korea.

      • why have I never heard of your brand?

        • A new Melbourne based company which started in September 2017. First sale we have had in conjunction with Black friday. Hence why we've posted on Ozbargin.com.au

That's a bit harsh. I could list a tonne of watch brands you've never heard of

But still…over-priced fashion watches on the large size. Seriously, at 45mm with no bezel this watch is going to look massive! No wonder there is zero wrist shots on the website and their IG.

        • +1

As we stated they are Mens watches hence the larger watch face. Which have been very popular with our customers to date. We also do have some wrist shots of the watches on our IG.

Here are the specs of the watches:

          Men's Quartz watch
          Watch Size 45mm *8mm
Genuine Leather Band 22mm with Quick Release Pin
Stainless Steel case and case back
          Japanese Movement
          3ATM Water resistant

@azzazen: We also do have some one wrist shots shot of the watches on our IG.

Yes, 45mm is bloody massive for a watch, even though I can see the lug to lug length is relatively short. Watches without a bezel always wear larger. This will look like a dinner plate on the majority of men's wrists. 40mm is generally accepted as the max for dress watches, 42mm at the most.

Our customers seem to really like the unique style of our current range. I guess that's what separates us from the other watch brands, Be sure to add us on instagram to view our women's release in the near future.

Thanks to a sockpuppet, I've heard of Maverick Banks watches. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5139094/redir https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5139417/redir
Yet again, in addition to the numerous times previously, someone else in Glen Osmond has bought a watch. How very, very reassuring indeed. It is probably cost-effective to send a regular truck there. And of course Windsor, Hillside, Surrey Hills and Hillside.

Astonishing. Yet another sold at Glen Osmond. That information is enormously comforting. Indeed I almost forgot to inquire …

    Where are these watches assembled?

    Do they feature sapphire crystal?

Honestly, another 4 watches were just bought by people in Windsor, I'm not making this up … though somebody might be.

    • +1

Watches and watch straps are assembled here in Melbourne. The watches do not feature sapphire glass. Thank you for you comment please add us on instagram for future promotions and products.

Watches and watch straps are assembled here in Melbourne.

I did not inquire where the straps are attached to the watches. Where are the watches manufactured? Where are the Japanese movements added to the case, stem, battery, dial, lens etc.? Apparently your website doesn't disclose that.

OP - word of advice: perhaps your business venture would yield better results if you employed professional marketing. That is, paid services. I really advise against posting anymore on Ozbargain. We only appreciate genuine bargains on here (duh!), and when it comes to wristwatches, we do have some hawk-eye watchers (pardon the pun).

Forgive my lack of interest in spending less than five minutes on your website, while there is nothing inherently wrong with it (an online business), I just don't see any value in the products your shop offers.

    • At Maverick Banks we really enjoy the marketing aspect side of the business, as our brand grows we may look at paid services. 25% off may not be a bargain to yourself, however we feel it is a genuine bargain in anyone's language. Thanks for taking the time to view our webpage. be sure to add us on IG - maverick__banks

These are overpriced basic Chinese quartz fashion watches. You can buy similar on Aliexpress for around $10.00 shipped.
For this kind of money or less you can buy something from an actual watch making brand like Seiko (Orient) Citizen or Casio.

At Maverick Banks we really enjoy the marketing aspect side of the business…

You might also enjoy reading up on misleading and deceptive conduct and take more care when claiming sales.

I very rarely neg deals usually preferring to let the deal votes do their work, but you've met my high standards. Congratulations.

I was at Melbourne Zoo this morning watching a babyish elephant getting gently slammed underwater by its mother.
        A very calming vision.

Luckily it wasn't wearing one of these 3 ATM watches.

23 hours is long enough for Associated OP to inform fellow OzBargain members where these watches are manufactured, so it is reasonable to confirm Member Savas's original suspicion these are from China, despite OP's word game concerning where straps are attached to them. Not that there is anything wrong with watches getting made in China - most are - but it is regrettable the truth has emerged in such small pellets.

Last night, during 6 minutes 16 people in Epping purchased watches, which is a remarkable feat considering that was repeated 12 hours ago and it is re-occuring as I type. Presumably, some of them will add to the website's solitary watch review.

Negging because much lower price for a similar llloking product with higher specification elsewhere:-

    5ATM, Sapphire Crystal
    $38.69 - 5% code P5OZZIE = $36.76 + $24.24 Shipping = $61.00

25% off may not be a bargain to yourself, however we feel it is a genuine bargain in anyone's language.

Member PJC, our in house watch expert, has kindly investigated this deal, also for that price I would want a Citizen watch rather than your expensive markup of cheap Chinese watches.
