This is an interesting item that I have not seen before

basically an erasable notepad (physical writing pad - not a mini laptop) that can have it's contents scanned via elfin book app and saved as a PDF with your smartphone (via an app).

  The Google Drive app has OCR straight to your Drive. Don't trust their crappy app.

  I don't get it. You can scan anything, so there's nothing special about the book in regards to scanning. Google Drive or Evernote or many other apps will OCR what you've scanned. So it's just an erasable notebook. Woudn't it be cheaper and easier just to buy notebooks?

  Might as well throw 18 x $1 coins in with your rubbish next time you visit the council tip- it "can be repeatedly erased 500 times", so would last you less than a year if you took two pages of notes a day.

      My bad- teach me to not Elfin comment without clicking on the product link first.

      I have a couple of digital note-takers which are like a tablet screen and can recognise your handwriting, so assumed this was a similar product. With 40 pages and quite cheap, it looks tempting.
