HSBC have to have the worst Internet banking experience too.

Citibank AU tops the worst internet banking experience for me. Absolutely horrible.

agree. cannot use them, such a hassle it was making a transfer for minimal amounts,

  • yes agree hsbc australia is shit. Hsbc hong kong is bloody awesome though. they need to send all the staff to hong kong for training!

  • This seems to be basically a rebranded entertainment book when I looked at it, so coles gift cards etc available. HSBC internet banking is pretty bad, with that physical token required and enter the nth letter of your unchangeable passcode bullshit. Then once you manage to login the site it shit too.

  • I don't have transaction accounts with them, so can't comment, but their credit card online facility is fine.

  • I've got the HSBC Rewards Platinum card (no annual fee for life) and was advised that this benefit only applies to new applicants.

The relaunched card also includes a LoungeKey Membership with 2 free lounge passes each year.

Have any existing cardholders been sent any info on these two benefits?

    • I've had the HSBC Platinum Qantas card for years, and got the email invite for this deal (hence my post), but I haven't heard of the LoungeKey membership.

      • LoungeKey passes are listed on HSBC website for new applicants of the Platinum Rewards (non Qantas) card. From memory the Qantas card was the one that used to include 2 lounge passes but these seem to have been removed.

They might be targeting the Frequent Values offer towards any existing card holders who are paying an annual fee. I was advised that I would have to switch over to the new card and lose the free annual fee for life offer to be eligible for the two benefits.

  • I think the online banking is great and very secure. I do hate the letter password thing so just use the token. Don't think it's any worst then other online banking interface.

  • Has anyone actually received the welcome email yet? It's now been 45 days since my card was approved. Their call centre keeps saying that they are done in batches, and will follow up with a phone call in 24 hours (which they have now failed to do twice).

  • This card is free of annual fee if spent $6k a year
