Hi Everyone,
I have been in discussions with the GearBest Rep about doing a deal on these. She couldn't quite match this previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/319820, but has provided a code for their 11.11 sale. It looks like Registered Airmail is also included.

The Code is valid from midnight Beijing time 10/11 (02:00AM 11/11/17 AEST) until midnight on 11/11 (02:00AM 12/11/17 AEST).
Unlimited stock available.

EDIT: Looks like it is limited to 2 per account. Thanks Zeral.

      • Thanks. could you please explain these things little bit more as how DRM and Libreelec have benefits over others, i don't have any knowledge about these things. Will it make any difference if we use the android box for kodi , youtube or some other streaming android apps only?

        • DRM issue affecting Netflix: https://www.cnx-software.com/2015/12/30/why-doesnt-your-andr…

What is libreelec and how to choose a TV box that can run on it:
          https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/9759-choosing-a-s905-s905x…

Youtube and Kodi: all android TV boxes have no issues. How well they perform is subjective. Just like chinese android phones, some have better ROMs than others. So buy and try. If you want optimal performance, then reflash it with Libreelec. There's still no guarantee that it'll have great performance, but Libreelec brings out the best in cheap chinese android boxes.

If you want to watch Kodi and Youtube: get a cheap Amlogic S905 box and install Libreelec

If you want to watch Netflix: get Mecool Pro +/L or Mibox International Version (MDZ-16-AB)

  • Has anyone got their MI Box yet?

  • Is there any way to install a new version of android on this? I heard that you cannot connect to the Google Play Store with the version that it comes installed with and all apps must be side loaded?

  • Has anyone managed to add a VPN to their box? I mean a VPN that doesn't involve sideloading an app (i.e. not IPVanish).
