Is this legit? Seen a few scams with auspost bags

    • Well someone bought 20 of them…hope its legit for their sake.

  • Knock-off made in China for 10c each, sold for for $100+.
    Profit…

    • So if you try and use them, they won't be shipped?

      • barcodes/tracking probably won't scan or some might go through with some lack of due diligence from auspost if this is all non-legit

Generally stolen or fake when it comes to discounted postage items

There's a thread on Whirlpool about this, it might help you decide if they're genuine or fakes:

WARNING: Fake Australia Post satchels sold on eBay

    I wouldn't trust this,

if you look at the current sachets on auspost website https://shop.auspost.com.au/INTERSHOP/static/WFS/AusPost-Sho…

    there are too many differences

    • different number of address lines
    • placement of icons
    • doesn't look to have a put away sticker on the barcode
    • The tracking number on the bag is legit… so who knows.

        In the pic provided anyway…

  • Doesn’t look right to me but i would advise against getting these as it might create more issues for you than anyone. So I reckon you save a few bucks and possibly might lose whatever you are sending ? Not too sure myself.

  • Cheap.

    • Until your package gets lost in transit or lost

      • Why would it get lost?

We've shipped thousands of mail articles over the years. The number of articles that has been incorrectly delivered is about a two hand full.

Good on you mate. Proven wrong

        • @Hunnypooh:

          Proven wrong

          Not sure what you mean.

        • @whooah1979: well my point is there is a possibility of these satchels experiencing problems but if you have been sending thousands of packages and it went through, that should mean that it point about these satchels getting lost is incorrect. So that is a good thing for sure.

          @Hunnypooh:

Ohh. I was thinking of something else when I read that. Thanks for clarifying.

        • @whooah1979: all good mate. Always good to have someone with experience with these stuff around. Good to know these satchels work

    Fake.

The seller has 100% positive feedback and all they seem to sell is postage bags and stamps.

However, I'd take ebay feedback with a grain of salt. I've seen many sellers who I know sell fakes as genuine, get positive feedback cause people don't know any better.

I also found positive feedback, claiming the stamps they purchased were fake/forged. but they got a refund, so gave positive feedback… So it's likely the seller is selling fakes and people just don't know any better.

refund given BUT BCOF USED item deemed a FORGERY by 3 experts - AVOID

B.C.O.F 5s pair of BCOF on Peice, RARE!! (#250513303568)

Judging from the whirlpool thread about the fake satchels going around on ebay/gumtree - I'd say these are more than likely fake and the post should be removed.

  • The WP thread indicates that they work. How would the fakes scan correctly? Keygen?
Either way, Auspost is a ripoff and offers a very shitty service, so it'd be easy to justify these morally if the are fake and work.

WP thread is for bags with the older 12 digit barcode. At the post office, it scans but there is no acknowledgement receipt. I was using really old bags for this which I bought from the post office a long time ago but never used up. New ones are 14 digit and so are these allegedly fake ones.

The sellers appears to be fraudulent as I still have not the received the satchels . I have opened a case with eBay and the seller has not replied and there is no tracking provided.

    • That's a shame. We ordered a few weeks worth of 3kg as a tryout. It doesn't looks like they'll ship the items.

  • it looks like the seller's account has been hacked and the username changed.
