So why are you making a price comparison to a price you do not sell for?

According the the ACCC, that is deceptive and misleading advertising…

        https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing-surcharging/display…

Depending on individual circumstances, businesses using statements such as 'savings' or 'discounts' when comparing a sale price to the recommended retail price (RRP) may be misrepresenting potential savings if the product has never been sold at the RRP or the RRP does not reflect a current market price.

        • They could just change it to MSRP and it would be kosher

        • @Spackbace:

They could just change it to MSRP

No, that would still be a misleading price comparison from that retailer.

        • @jv:

Nope, by definition it's 'Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price'.

          Anolon website shows that price

        • @Spackbace:

According to the ACCC, if you a making a price comparison of a saving, and you don't normally sell at that higher price, it can be construed as misleading advertising.

          RRP is just an example.
          WAS/IS is another example.

Comparing to MSRP would be the same.

          @Spackbace:

Not sure why they are bothering making fake price comparisons anyway as their promotional price seems cheap as other places seem to be selling this for around $150-$160 anyway…

        • @jv:

          Agreed with that

    • Be careful, you might end up in dog house :)

  • I guess it competes with Tefal …. their similar pan is usually $125, on special drops to $90.

Not sure how much I believe about metal utensil safe.

Thanks will get one to what it's like compared to my Tefal pans.

  • thanks OP, i am happy with the price.

  • I have owned a nouvelle copper set. It wasn't bad, but cannot handle high heat, like most non-sticks. I find Circulon to last better.

    • I find Circulon to last better.

I found even Circulon lasted 12-18 months before it would stick.

Last year, I bought a $20 non-stick from IKEA and it's still as good as new… Never buying an expensive one again.
