Needed a couple of these inexpensive torches to hand out to the kids and the GearBest Rep was kind enough to come up with this fabulous deal for a little more than a dollar.

scrimshaw's comment here helped me make up my mind in favour of getting these.

        "ordered one"

        clearly not

        but would have preferred silver

These torches require this type of battery: 14500,AA
The batteries don't seem to that cheap…

    • Yeah, they don't take AA, only 14500.

      • How do you arrive at that conclusion?

      • +1

Doesn't it mean you can use either ?

        • On the description "Source: Battery
          Battery Type: 14500,AA "
so I'm thinking that uses both ?

        • +5

          @mr_fjackson:

so I'm thinking that uses both ?

Doubt it would use both, more likely you could use either

lol, but you still need to find it first.

        • still need to find it first.

you can use one of these

        • @jv: lol, looks like something I can actually use. Besides locating the dog poo though.

        • With bare feet I will ALWYS find the dog poo

        • @jv: Are you supposed to feed that to your dog so it comes out with the poo, then you can locate it?

      • For the dog to poo in?

  • 600 lumens??! for reals…??? ;)

  • 200 already gone. would love to get one.

You're not a true OzB'er if you're not refreshing every 3 mins during work hours.

i just received this in the mail from last deal.

the conductivity on the lid-side is poor so even when i push the 'On' button it won't turn on. i might have to sandpaper down the spring or something. the torch is working but that metal has terrible conductivity!

    • Thanks Power, post updated.

  • Think I just bought the last 3 code e pired when trying to buy my 4th

  • Chinese lumens are the best lumens.

These are really only good with a lithium ion 14500 battery. Although importation of lithium ion batteries to Australia has now become very restricted (sound of local sellers rubbing their hands together with glee).

  • Received mine today. Extremely fast shipping from gearbest this time although my SOOCAS X3 which I bought same day with priority shipping isn't here yet :-(

I wouldn't bother using it with AA batteries though. As the post above suggests, it maybe usable with 14500 batteries because higher voltage.

    • I got mine today too and while the build is not the best, the throw is excellent with an Eneloop so much brighter than the Cree Q5 I purchased some years ago.

      • If you think its bright, you should try BLF A6 :-P

        • Yes bright for the price. This one is a dollar odd and the one you linked to was $26 AUD or USD in a deal here on OzB (currency not mentioned) :)

Obviously the more you pay the Lumens & build quality get better and better.

  • I purchased two (separately) both arrived in seperate satchels during the course of this week. Reasonably bright on Alkaline battery.

Just received my SingFire SF-348, very fast shipping Gearbest has really improved with the fast shipping.
The SF-348 is a very nice EDC torch, very solid, good button in a recess that should prevent accidental operation and surprisingly heavy for its tiny size, with an enloop it throws a good light and the case warms up nicely in no time :)

    • geebee, can't believe you got your's in Hobart so quickly and a week on there's no news of my SingFire yet.

  • Code seems to have expired.

  • Expired

  • Edit 20/12: Available again for US $0.01 more with code BlackFridayGBAU30 (thanks BrodenIt)

    • Thanks mate, would have missed it otherwise.

  • Can you change a setting on their site to get billed in USD not AUD?

  • Thanks OP - got one.

  • Do they even make money, or simply mining for big data here?

    • Don't think they make much in terms of profit. More for data mining and brand exposure etc.

  • +1

The Code you entered has expired.

  • Bummer… slow fingers typing… Code BlackFridayGBAU30 Expired again :(
