I just got back from my local ow (glebe) and they had HEAPS (over 30) clearance items.. some good some alright.
I got a 20 pencil pack for $1.26 :)
Glebe usually got some pretty good stuff there on special/clearance.
Hornsby doesn't have the 144 pencil pack.
(The only one I was interested in)

Are you sure that's the price per pack, and not per unit? I ask because there are two prices struck out above the big "clearance" price, one of them much closer to the new price.

I've noticed that Officeworks sometimes advertises their clearance items by making up the original price to be a ridiculously inflated value.

I couldn't find the pack of 40 ice pens or the 144 pencils. When I went there all they had in that department was a few packets of 20pack HB and 2H pencils on clearance.

None of these I could find. Maybe too slow?

Just the fact that quite a few people voted on it but they only have a couple in each store is inherently bait advertising to me. I'll just avoid OW next time - everything's such a ripoff unless you're price matching.
Once again, Officeworks didn't advertise this. Tightarse has no affiliation with Officeworks. Officeworks probably don't even know this post exists.
