Long time lurker and first time poster.
As the title says, binglee is offering a 200 AUD discount on Panasonic 55" OLED TV today which brings the price down to 2195 AUD picked up. Looks like a good price to me.
Over to you guys.

But it's a 55", I won't need glasses.

Bit late for pickup.
Amazing price for this TV. Panasonic OLEDs won overall picture quality in the 2017 UK TV Shootout: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/shootout-results-201708224491…
That was the much higher priced Panasonic EZ1002
Not this 55EZ950U model.
Apparently the visual performance of both models are basically identical. EZ1002 just has a sound bar and better anti-reflection.
This was the case also when theirplasma was the number on TV on c-net TV reviews, basically the same TV without a few bells and whistles
Yeah LG OLED do it too with their E and G series.
Panasonic specifically mention only the EZ1000 series when they refer to professional-grade processing technology

"The EZ952 shares the EZ1002’s powerful Studio Colour HCX2 processor, which boasts colour accuracy previously enjoyed only by professional monitors, and has been tuned by Hollywood colourists. It can handle nearly 100% of the DCI colour space. The EZ952 comfortably surpasses the minimum spec requirements for UHD Premium status. It’s also THX-certified." Re the panels for the EZ950 and EZ1000 being identical panels, when we were talking with Pana customer care about this self same question, Panasonic rep said that the panel in the Master EZ1000 is better quality rating in PQ (EZ1000 panel is taken from the LG signature range units, the EZ950 is from the LG mid range units. Different QC ratings at manufacture. Higher quality panel used in the Master). I was told that LG production runs produce varying qualities in screen quality. Of course this is just what they said, and may not be true. Maybe all the panels are identical. I thought that when we looked at these units side by side in a darkened theater setting at West Coast HiFi, that the Master looked sharper, clearer, with the same screen presets, but of course that could be set up to be like that by the store. So the panels all come from similar production runs at LG, but the runs provide varying degrees of quality, all the way down to panels that are scrapped at production.
You're fairly safe using $ instead of AUD for Bing Lee.
Thanks. Will do in future
Thanks op for the comment in the other HN sale post, helped me make the purchase at jb-hifi chaddy - got it for the same pickup price as Bing Lee $2195.00 tonight.
Amazing price! It's unbelievable how quickly the prices have dropped this year. Must be because Sony and Panasonic are in the game now.
The one negative about this set is that the HDR performance isn't as good as the LG or Sony. Given that HDR is the future (and already available on most new Netflix shows) that's something to consider. However, given how much cheaper this is than the Sony and LG it's not a deal breaker.
Thought this was one day only.
Has it expired or not?
Also, no coupon code.
Just the remote? Amazing price!
