Don't forget cash rewards. (Only 1% but still, it's something)

If I hadn't bought the LG 65" OLED on a recent bargain I would have grabbed this.

55EZ950U is available for 2195 (pickup) at binglee today after 200AUD discount in cart

I assume these still have the banding issues that the LG has seeing as it's the same panel

So, no band 28 then? :)

So what's the verdict on LG vs Panasonic OLED? Or is that question opening up a can of worms?

    • Love to see rtings do pana reviews again

    • The Panasonic OLED has the best overall picture quality but the LG is a bit better for gaming (lower input lag) and supports Dolby Vision.

      • how important is the Dolby Vision if im looking to buy a new TV?

        • Not very, unless you watch a lot of Netflix.

  • -2

I’ve read the Panas have poor input lag, so are useless for gaming. Which is odd, because one of the key benefits of OLED is the great response time.

    • Input lag is the total time delay to display a frame, whereas response time is how quickly a pixel can make a full colour transition, such as GTG.

Yes, yes, you know what I mean.

    • For the ez952 model, one of the reviews quotes 25ms input lag: http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/panasonic-ez952

However the actual model sold is the ez950 model. I don't know what the difference is between the 952 and the 950.

EZ952 and EZ1002 (EZ950 and EZ1000 outside of the UK)

    • the review has low input lag as a Pro…. mind posting the articles you have read?

They actually have very low input lag. Not quite as good as LG but better than Sony.

  • 65EZ950U vs 65EZ1000?

    Thanks guys,

Managed to get appliances online to price match Bing Lee who have some -$200 voucher when you add it to their online cart.

Got this delivered (TH55EZ950U) for $2195.00

    Cheers.

    • They say they look at the shipping and other fees charged before they price match.
How did you get them to match the (TH55EZ950U) for $2195.00?
DId you tell them you were going to pick it up? did they accept that?

      • Nup they just price matched the lowest price I found and included delivery. I tried to push them to take more off but they wouldn't budge.

        • no stock at Appliances Online and it will take a week or two.. :-(

  • Thanks OP and h2g2.

Managed to walk into Jb-HiFi Chadstone at ~7.30pm to price match Bing Lee with the additional $200 off; the guy sold it to me for $2195.00 pickup on the day without the $40 delivery fee Bing Lee would have had to charge as they don't have a shop in metro Melb.

  • If only the 55" 950 model had the black filter I'd ditch my KS8000 for it.
