i tried to get a kogan deal - they took 8 days to get the sim to me - then after 4 days of them stuffing around trying to port my old number, I gave up and got a refund (which took 15 days!!). Then tried amaysim - my deal was $24 - the sim arrived in 2 days and they ported in 15 minutes - perfect!! Can't go wrong for $19.95 for 168 days.

I have contacted Amaysim regarding this, redemption is referred to group coupon to purchase sim card from Amaysim's website.
Sim cards can be activated any time after you receive them.

The problem is you have to login to amaysim to redeem the code, if your number already with them how can you redeem it before the groupon code expired?

100% not by then. Live in a really non-rural area and it took them about 10-15 days.

Considering you pay $104 a year ($24 per 28days normally vs $16 a month) more at amaysim for 2gb compared with Vaya for 1.5gig unless your a constant churner, not really worth it, they would be betting on the apathy of users changing plans, unless you need that extra 500 meg.
This is $19.95 for 6 months and 2GB data each month.

You only need to redeem the groupon code by 26th. After you have the code you have to create the amaysim account and enter the code. They will ship you the sim and you can activate the sim later from amaysim site but not sure how long they can wait.
And how does the number porting look like? My current prepaid ends on 31st. When should I do all this to keep my number and start using an amaysim plan without the break or loosing days from the existing plan?

Mon-Fri between 8am and 8pm transfer should take couple of hours so doing it on the last day of your existing prepaid should be a good option! :)

I tried redeeming the voucher on amaysim website (using link from Groupon) but it doesn't seem to work. At 'Complete Order', I get an error ' Something went wrong. Please contact us on Live chat etc.' Has anyone else faced this issue?

Is it only need to enter the code into amaysim after you created the account?
Had similar error. You need to select payment type as credit card or PayPal. Voucher as payment type does not work with new accounts. I've been advised this by online chat and it worked.
saw this before getting the error and tried with paypal, it redirects you to paypal but with a null charge.. all good i suppose..
currently already on this, hope this becomes the norm every 6 months. that'd be buttload of savings with mobile accounts.

For last deal, I purchased in groupon and received a promo code.
Applied on amaysim website and sim is on the way. I was porting my number so until I start transfer my number the activation didnt start.

Just online chat with amaysim and was told:
"yes you may redeem it until 26th but you have the choice not to activate the number/service yet. The thing is, the duration of the Groupon promo will start from the time that it was redeemed.
So if you decided to activate the number 1 month from the time you redeemed the promo, you'll not be able to get the full 6 renewals"

what is your date on that banner?
say you activated yours on the 18/10. that should be your first recharge.

So they count from the date I redeemed the groupon code but it will take sometime for me to receive the sim and actually I didn't receive it I have to call for them to resend it.
OK after chat with them online they told me that "Promotion - 100% OFF UNLIMITED 2GB. Valid to: 25 Feb 2018" means 25Feb is the last promo month start not end.
