  • anyone used aoc before? seems like this brand offers similar spec'd monitors to other brands but at lower price

    • I've had one for about 6 months now, overall I've been very happy with it. It has had the odd quirk where I've had to restart it but that's happened all of five times. The early revisions of the panels (used in this, acer, asus and viewsonic) seemed to be very hit and miss but from what I've heard they've gotten better.

      • These weird quirks is what I'm worried about, my current monitor does that too. The main reason why I want to upgrade is due to that, I wouldn't want to buy a new expensive monitor just to potentially end up in the same spot.. :(

        • I have this exact monitor and do not have that problem, I have never had anything better than 1080p/60hz/TN panel so I can say this monitor is great! however, I can't say how it compares to the other competitors on the market.

    • I have their 21:9 monitor. Very nice, same panel as the LG ones (from the first generation of 21:9s) but probably less impressive build quality and less extras (inputs, built in card readers) etc that you get on some of the name brands. Still a great monitor overall, quality is more than good enough and it was hundreds less than the equivalent.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ViewSonic-XG2703-GS-27IN-IPS-GAM…

Better Deal, cannot post it, as it is not a top rated seller.

Most of these IPS monitors are the same, but it seems that Viewsonic and AOC has better QC. I have this Viewsonic, and it is a beast. Can't go wrong with either though. Viewsonic just has better RMA process.

EDIT : ONLY 2 LEFT, HURRY HURRY

    • The monitor you linked doesn't say it's G-Sync

      • I can assure you it is, IF that model number is correct. I have that exact model number, look exactly the same. You can always message the seller. I guess not linking proper info is part of why they are not rated as a top seller.

        • yea according to google, it is g-sync

      • Does say osync in the comments sure it was a typo error.

    • I had a nice view sonic monitor a few years ago nice picture but didnt even last 2 years :(.

    • That same panel came up $100 cheaper just from a quick google search

      • Please share

      • Yea, PC casegear sells it at 899

        • Are they part of the 20% off sale?

    • Is this eligible for the coupon code? Otherwise you're paying an extra $170 for basically the same thing?

      • Yes, I linked it because it is part of the 20% sale

        • Yeah, sorry, just checked and confirmed; just doesn't show on the item page for some reason.

      Bloody tempting.

Ozbargain and eBay 20% off sales are costing me a fortune lately

In the style of William Wallace from Braveheart "FreeeeeSynnnnnc!"

Nah, that is the povo option mate. Nvidia/G-sync is the one to beat. Also the AG271QX is TN :(

      • Not even IPS? Pfft, I'm too posh for that.

    • would it be better to have g-sync since i have nvidia gpu?

      • Definitely. Choose your G-sync monitor panel on either TN for speed, such as playing CS:GO and where high fps is king or IPS for beauty, such as Witcher 3.

I received my Korean 34" 4k monitor 100Hz with free sync for $620 delivered.
    It's great. No issues.

  • anyone recommend a 4k IPS 60hz monitor for photo editing?

Dell P2715Q is pretty decent, I have one myself and it's a spectacular monitor. Got mine during a Dell Factory Outlet sale for around $500.

      • I have the same monitor and agree with @Kugz. Mine came calibrated from factory; it had a certificate confirming it was factory tuned at 99% sRGB with a deltaE < 3.
Great monitor and excellent price at the Dell Factory Outlet.

I have recently brought this monitor from futu online at the last ebay sale. Also $800.

The manufacture date was July 2017. Backlight bleed is so small on mine. Very small top right and bottom right of screen. Not worth the return. Some of those BLB in 2016 were terrible. There is a thread on it at http://www.overclock.net/t/1602323/aoc-ag271qg-thread-1440p-…

And yes running 2k, ips and gsync is amazing. We are a fair way off solid 60fps 4k gaming too. 2k is a real sweet spot atm with nvidia 1070+ cards

When you buy this monitor, follow this comprehensive guide. https://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101/ I've found to setup Gsync is not completely noob friendly.

Thanks for the info! Are you noticing the BLB mainly when the room is dark or when the room has sufficient lighting?

      • I only noticed when room was dark and black screen. The first thing I did because I warned Futu I'm returning it if BLB was bad.

Seriously I was meh (and I'm fussy). Compared to the pics I've seen mid 2016, it's barely anything.

I can take a picture tomorrow night. Just working nights atm and at work.
