Did you get free items to post this? I call sus…

    • +4

Absolutely not. Am just a normal customer just like anybody else.
..no am not associated as well.

      • the coupon code is your username + 17.

        Just a little sus

        • +2

I did not choose the code.
I wouldn't mind if the code was under your name or the first commenters name.
          When I saw this:
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/335900
I decided to have a cheaper version.
I already own a device with usb type C to which this Xiaomi headphone may compliment.
Furthermore, I messaged the Banggood rep last week if they can give me a code for this product and to which I received no reply.
I had a reply today from this supplier's rep hence I bought one and shared this discounted product.
The specs and pricing are a bargain to me and I hope someone else can beat this price so I can buy another ☺️

You must have been living under a rock for the last week or so.

See here, here, here, here, here, here, here.

        • +4

@Targaryen: Good on you and thanks for the effort and sharing.

        • @doweyy: I just generally don't look at GB deals, bought once didn't get the item and wrote them off.

        • @Targaryen: Who did you message to get a cheaper price? There a few items on my wishlist I wouldn't mind asking about.

          @ChillBro:
          Rep from here:
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/335952
..you could also try Banggood who knows you might get a better deal- if they respond.

@Fishy slipper - You call suss just because someone wants to negotiate and share a deal, you want to try it sometime….

      • Lol I do share deals I come across, I just don't waste my life searching them out 24/7.

I called sus as GB are known to pay for reviews and the code is his name.

        • +1

Have you heard of a guy named Tightarse?

        • Lol…

    • +2

A big and seemingly baseless accusation to make. We should be encouraging users to seek out discounts to share with others. There's nothing unique about it and certainly not something to call out as being suspect.

  • +1

    these any good ?

    • +1

hope they are. I just ordered and payed for one. Will let you know in six weeks. I merely googled the reviews.

      • My order is shipped today
Let's see how long the ketch or schooner arrives in Qld.

  • thanks, bought one well see how it goes

It works with my Macbook with a usb-c to USB adapter, the noise canceling really works! I would say maybe 80% as good as Bose, definitely worth the money

  • Be aware, Xiaomi only officially supports these for certain phones as seen in the deal page:

    Compatible with Xiaomi 5 / 5S / 5S Plus / 6 / MIX / Note 2, not compatible with Xiaomi 5C and Redmi Pro
For other cellphones with Type-C interface, the music playing and noise cancellation functions are available for some cellphones, but the phone call and on-cord control functions are not available

I have been considering getting these for a while but I am afraid they won't work with my phone (HTC 10). They may work for any usb-c device but I am not willing to take the risk just yet.

If anyone could post their experiences with these earphones with other non-Xiaomi phones that would be greatly appreciated.

    • +3

You have a headphone jack. Just use piston HD.

    • How about unofficially?

For other cellphones with Type-C interface, the music playing and noise cancellation functions are available for some cellphones, but the phone call and on-cord control functions are not available

That's why I think the world is not ready to lose 3.5mm jack yet. If the alternative doesn't even work on every phone, it's not a viable replacement.

  • are these ACTIVE noise cancelling like the bose ones?

    • I believe they are - just not as effective as the Bose noise cancelling

      • jack ma! when is ALibaba going to release hardware to copy amazon?

jokes aside, the reviews state that they work with more than just the listed devices as long as its usb C, how about usb a to usb c female adaptors?

    • Yes.
      from Xiaomi website-
"These in-ear headphones are equipped with active noise reduction technology that attenuates low frequency sounds and lets you listen to whatever you are listening to without any distraction. They will be especially helpful when you are sitting in a rattling bus going home or when you are in the office filled with chatty co-workers. And what is also important you do not need to turn up the volume to hear better, which otherwise could lead to hearing loss"

    Will they work with iPhone?

    • If you can find a way to plug them in, you should at least get audio. You'd need a Lightning to type C adapter. I doubt the controls will work though.

  • Can anyone confirm what phones this will and wont work with? I just read on the page it said that music will work but the mic and stuff doesnt.

  • will they work on an iphone 6S with a 3.5mm headphone jack?

    • It uses Type C not 3.5mm. You'd need an adapter.

Damn Ozbargain showing me things i didnt know existed that i now have to own!

    • i dont need it, i dont need it!

      • too late i bought it :(

  • Can someone confirm these work with the Google Pixel?

    • +1

I'll confirm now that I've received them, they do, the middle button play/pause answers phonecalls, you can hold or double tap it to skip a song, the top and bottom buttons change the volume of the music.

The noise cancelling works as long as it's powered. (Doesn't depend on phone.)

It does not work in the Nintendo Switch using the 4.0.1+ firmware as far as my testing goes. :(
