36 pack for $14 at Big W is a little better value.

This deal works out at 32 rolls for $14

    • +16

Much better value, the Big W ones are also 190 sheets per roll, that's 10 sheets more than these.

That means you could do an extra crap per roll, times 36 rolls is 36 craps.

One crap per day means you have an extra 36 days worth of crapping.

      • +6

Having children makes it impossible to achieve any sort of decent poop/sheet ratio in my household. Your stats are solid numbers. Any clean snappers involved?

        • 10 sheets per poop sounds reasonable, though I wonder how many sheets people normally use

        • +1

          So much this.

Children can't understand the concept of how much is enough. Same thing with tissues.

        • @inasero: 18 sheets on average. It pays to be thorough.

        • @Munki: Same thing with Bodywash!

      • Where are you seeing the 190 sheet ones, the one I buy is 180?

        https://www.bigw.com.au/product/quilton-toilet-tissue-36-pac…

        • Magnify the image and it says 190.

        • @Scab: Amazing haha, even their description says 180. Cheers mate.

    • +1

Is it in store only? I can not find it on BigW website.

    • I thought it was only $12.

    • This deal also means i can grab some loo paper with my spare change, which is exactly what i needed to do. You always pay less for bulk, thats a given.

  • any codes? I have bren using costco since my woolies stashed finished

  • @tess 1988 There is a limit of 6pks you can order at one time.

  • Quilton vs sorbent vs Aldi's 3 ply roll, which one's better?

    • +13

Stay tuned, this will be on A Current Affair special soon.

Toilet paper showdown live, put to the test by Cath from Super Savers.

      • +7

Hope they show live demos, otherwise it's not worth watching.

    • +2

Quilton is better than Aldi 3 ply but only just. Sorbent, I didn't rate.

Aldi's 24 pack for $8 which works out to be 18c p/100 sheets is great value and means I don't have to wait for these Quilton's to go on sale.

    • +1

Kath Armstrong from cheapskates.com.au makes paper mache artwork from her used toilet paper which she sells at the local craft market. That way you can recoup your toilet paper costs and even come out in front.

    • +3

Quilton has always used sustainable foresting for its paper supply. Sorbent gives you the pleasure of wiping your ass on the Amazon forest.

    • -2

Sorbent 8pack at $3 is the best deal you'll ever get. Last a long time due to sheet count, only ply2 but honestly they feel fine.

  • +2

Wiped the floor clean with this deal

  • +3

Dont buy Save $3.50 use water to clean the shxx.

    • +2

Don't crap, hold it back and save 0.004c on water.

      • +3

But the medical bill is going to be expensive.

        • -1

          Why?

      • True. Since then you'd have to stop eating and dead people spend nil on sanitation.

    • If someone accidentally steps in poop, do people use paper to wipe it off or wash it with water?

      • +1

there is a difference in cleaning poop from the ground and cleaning the poop from the human body.Clean Water is the best sanitation always.

    • I haven't checked websites that ship to Australia but US Amazon always has cheap bidets (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01HXDJQC4/ref=zg_bs_68695301…).

  • Thanks OP. Perfect timing, just ran out of bog roll at my house.

    • Have you ever used something else when you've ran out?

      • +4

Yes, I always use socks and shoes when I run out.

        • +1

          Are the shoes leather uppers?

        • @Scab: Yes, leather uppers, leather insoles. Premium cowhide leather.
          Reduces the sweating.

        • @MathNerd:

Being a math nerd, do you separate each ply and sheet of paper so you can count them?

        • @Scab: Yes, and then I plug those values into a differential equation to analyse the difference in thickness/softness/etc.

      • Newspaper………

We had been stocking up on these Quiltons when they are on sale but recently switched to Aldi 24 pack for $8 on another Ozbargainer's recommendation. We found the quality for both are exactly the same. Aldi is cheaper and available all day everyday.

    • +1

Yes once I tried the Aldi 24 pack/3 ply, never go back. It's cheap, thick, strong and soft.

      Always the same low price.

    • once i use up my stash i might give it a crack

      • or have your crack give it a crack

    • fully agree, switched to ALDI long time back after noticing the price difference and quality indifference.

    • +2

This is actually revolutionary. My family has been buying pallets of toilet paper from woolies/Coles at every sale. And now you're saying we don't need to find storage for it because Aldi has it at a low price everyday O.o

    • +2

Is the texture soft and smooth? I tried Kleenex and it grazed my bum because their tissue has grooves like tyre patterns :(

I'm picky because I've got a delicate bum.

      • I still think quilton is the best and Choice magazine a couple of months back rated it as second best. Aldi is best for value at normal price comparasion rates. When Quilton is on sale it does wipe the floor. For wiping the floor I use bog roll rather than large floor roll. A small squezze of sorbolene makes for a more delicate and clean wipe on a crack attack.

      • Ah man that made me laugh :D

    • Agreed. Aldi 3ply 4 double length lasts us forever, or we don't shit enough 💩

  • +1

We use these rolls for napkin purpose a lot of the time. Is there any safety concern here?

    • +2

Only if you've used the toilet paper first in the bathroom.

    • They are actually cute as napkins. People always ask us where we get such cool mini napkins from. But there are no safety concerns with these as long as you keep the roll for use as a napkin roll from day 1 and dnt just grab it from tge toilet dislenser at meal times.

    • +2

The difference with TP and napkins/tissues is that they're designed to disintegrate in water…

  • Bit of a shitty deal

  • I have to say that i find quilton pretty low quality. But still not a bad price

    • still not as bad as Sorbent has become in the last few months, they've really gone to crap..

      • +2

I have to say that even my fav brands all end up down the toilet.

  • +3

I have no idea why 40c+ toilet roll gets so many +s

    • Its a good quality roll though and available locally to most people.

      • I'm not knocking the product. The price is very average.

  • +1

Just bought 36 pack for $14 at woolies on Sunday, so this new deal is more expensive per sheet (but you don't have to buy a half cubic metre of toilet paper with your deal.)

  • +2

    Not a bargain

  • -1

used this one, kleenex is better.

    • +2

not cottonelle, that is total garbage…

      • +2

Maybe I'm a troglodyte, but the number of times I've had unwanted finger-thru-Cottonelle-to-bum situations…

      • of course not cottonelle. The complete clean one, with sort of wavy texture.

    • +3

Absolutely untrue. Kleenex leaves balls of TP caught in my arse hairs.

      • +1

Cottonelle is flawed design wise. I mean grooves? Lets just add a 3.3 times additional stress concentration factor to toilet paper, everyone like a poop finger.

  • I have noticed that the paper isn’t soft like before. Is it because woolies one is worse?

    • I stopped using it a year ago for that reason, Aldi paper feels almost as good as the Quilton of old.

      • Cheers for the tip. I will try the Aldi paper out. Tried the Coles equivalent and for the price difference it's not worth it.

    • The larger rolls / packs seem to have compressed the paper more than previously, possibly to achieve a smaller overall diameter?

The same with the gold. That used to be heavenly. Now the difference is barely discernible (except for the lower sheet usage).

  • +1

Start using bidet, ditch the toilet papers, save the mother plant!

    • You'll need to invest in some cream.

    • *planet

  • Poop back and forth. With the same poop. Forever. ))<>((

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa-PP12lkEE

  • I always buy my Quilton at Coles Express

    $10 for 20 rolls.
Buy 2 packs of 20 rolls = $20 for 40 rolls (190 sheets per roll)

Buy fuel (50l) and get 10c off per liter = $5

    $20 - $5 = $15 for 40 rolls => 37.5c per roll or 19.7c per 100 sheets.

Note: I personally try to wait until I need a full tank and get 65l => $6.50 off (so 33.8c per roll or 17.8c per 100 sheets)

  • Always need some more TP for my bunghole (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HilVFpvzuBM)

  • -6

This is Not a bargain! Quilton Toilet Tissue 8pk is quite often on sale for $3!

  • +1

No one has mentioned Coles 3 ply which is as good as Quilton I find, and available at around 38c/roll all the time. I thought it was softer than Aldi 3 ply.

  • Can someone confirm the woolies own brand toilet paper rolls are of same make or quality as Quilton?

  • Woolworths Select toilet paper pretty good.
