    • I'll let you know tomorrow. The tracking info on my order says it's for overnight delivery.

  • Can't order online. Called the stores to check stock. All of them got excuse eg. say they don't sell the individual Wii Remote, ran out of stock, deal ran out and also keep saying its online deal only.

    I insist on telling them it says online and instore. Lady still insists on online deal. DSE is a load of crap. Went to the store, says no stock and no such deal. Print the brochure, says they are not honouring it.

    • Prob DS recalled all the stock across the states to fulfill our OzB orders!

    Alright guys, good news :)

    I emailed dse, both to hope that they are actually supplying us with 6 wii remotes as well as not saying that it will be refunded and this is what i got in reply:

    "Thank you for taking time to email Dicksmith Online.

    In relation to your enquire on the status of your order, I would like
    to inform you that your order has been processed and will be
    dispatched within 1-2 business days"

    And if I already have 2 on its way here, and more is on its way in 1-2 business days, then i think that implies the deal is legit!

    • I had the same reply and I think it's just a generic one. Are you sure they don't mean that the order of 1+1 remotes has been processed and will be dispatched within 1-2 business days? The reply was really vague and seems like a copy-paste response not really specific to my query.

      Because my tracking link for the 1+1 isn't working, I wonder if that means it hasn't been dispatched yet and the reply was referring to the 1+1, and not the 4 other items.

Their reply to my query is below, when I specifically asked in my query, that my current order status shows partial delivery, only 2 items out of 6 has been shipped, and when will the other 4 items be shipped. Also asked why isn't my tracking link for the first 2 items working properly.

          The reply seems like a copy-paste template, unless che0173 sent in an enquiry identical to mine.

        • @drydenim I asked them exactly the same thing! I literally told them that my current order status is on Partial delivered and that the other four items are on backorder. Then I went to ask them how long they would take to dispatch the four "items" rather than the four "freebies" LOL

          My tracking number works perfectly though, so that's probably only an issue related to you.

          As of today at 4am: Arrived at AaE Location for processing (Melbourne). So I'm guessing it's arriving tomorrow!

  • My invoice states 6 units. Just received an email saying items dispatched… but only 2 of them. I guess that I'll have to take the two to a DSE store to get a full refund when it arrives. Pity.. the deal was a hopeful one.

      I'm on the phone with a dse customer service representative at the moment asking them about this. i've been put on hold…trust. they must be panicking and going crazy about what to deal with crazy customers. EVERYONE CALLL :D:D:D

          Just called DSE customer service and they said nobody will be receiving 6, " you can either take it as two or get refunded at local DSE store along with postage" , so I'm waiting on feedback from bigsue19 or whoever can confirm they received 6.

          Excuse me but I don't really understand the situation here, in my understanding, this deal meant to be honored as we made no mistake on consumer side, it was totally DSE's system failure and then they refused to pay the consequence of such processing error. Recalling the pricing error Game made on ps3 controllers sometime ago, i then have little faith in DSE. It is true that the deal is still decent even there are just two but their handling manner is kinda frustrating. For now, I'm thinking of lodging a compliant to ACCC regardless my final decision of accepting the offer or refund.

    I got the letter too… not very happy that they're just sending it anyway. I mean, every other joint has the decency to go "Hey we stuffed up, so we're going to cancel your order in case you didn't actually want this."

        Most definitely!!! I almost wasn't going to believe it, but the box was too big for just two. When I opened it, yup…all 6 were in there. Thanks again!!

        Thanks once again, bargainaholic. Got my 6 from the post office today. I really like the ozbargain community as we share bargains with each other (unlike some bargain hunters who go off and buy the whole lot and leave none for the rest). It was amazing as I put in my order when I thought it was 1 for 1 only (luckily I pick a non-white remote). I actually feel a bit bad for the person who made the typo. Might sell the remotes I don't need and give the money to the Salvos. That might make DSE feel a bit better…not.

          arghh so frustrating

          I called them again and they said "I can assure you, none of them were sent out" and then i was like, my "friend" sent me pictures of the 6 wii remotes and all and she said he's probably playing around or something and i'm like…"yeah well, he's got a receipt next to the box of 6 wii remotes with date 1/11/2010 and postage of $5.95 and the 6 remotes in a large box and unless you expect my friend to go through all the trouble to forge that receipt then well, that's not my problem that you're…silence…anyways, this does not seem fair that he is able to receive the 6 and I am not whereas I paid the same amount bla bla bla".

          Then she said "he's probably lucky and got the one in a million chance" and i'm like…far out what a…:@:@:@:

          So i gave up, hung up the phone and prepared to go to dse tomorrow to get a full refund :@:@:@

          The lady wasn't the most pleasant to deal with, wouldn't acknowledge the mistake and kept insisting again and again NO ONE got 5 for free, almost shouting at me. I said at least 3 people have gotten 6 and one of them has even posted photos of the invoice and the box of 6 wii motes.

          Frustrating conversation but I asked for an email and emailed them the photos. She said she'll discuss this with the online sales team, BUT NO ONE HAS BEEN SENT 5 AND NO ONE WILL GET 5. So I also said we are discussing this in a website where we share these deals and i asked that DSE to be fair to all of us, otherwise a whole group of us will be taking further action at ACCC. She remained silent and i think she hung up

    If I dont get 6 i will be taking this further, i wouldnt have minded so much if everyone received just two, but since they are sending out 6 to people and 2 to others this sounds extremely unfair.

        as long as it says 6 on the invoice there is almost no way they can do that. You paid and received the correct order.

    Just got home and opened the parcel as my mrs picked it up for me. Yehhh boii! 6 blue wii remotes.
    They can't ask them back as our invoices match up with the goods we received.

        I can't open the link for bigsue's receipt, the link of pic works fine, just wondering if any of you who received 6 can upload the receipt to share around? thanks in advance. BTW , in terms of contract ( ie. our online order), there shouldn't be anything called LUCKINESS involved, it's either fulfillment of the contract to every details as stated on the paper , or breaching. Their explanation is really lame! Personally I don' t really care if i will be receiving it or not, but i just don't feel comfortable by the way most of us are treated, given we have already being perfectly price discriminated in Australia.

          totally agree and im sure a lot of people will appreciate those who did receive theirs to post pics/receipts. Skywise is completely correct their responses of 'luck' is as bad as it gets.

      They already specified that they will not be providing the rest. I called them twice today to see whether the response would change. I even told them some "friends" got 6…they said it was a mistake and that they were lucky…i doubt half the ozb people were "lucky" and were the "one in a million" chances because the probability of that isn't happening.

      [Edit] Oh and JPOWER, how do you presume to take this further? I may join in for a class action :P

    they should honored 6 Wii remote, as that's what they printed on the invoice, and what you PAID for when you do the checkout & PAID!

    they are lame for shipping out only 2 and not honoring the deal BEFORE they contacted you to correct the transaction(yes, they SHOULD contact you if they wanted to correct the orders)

    this is purely their fault, and ACCC should be able to take care of this!

      Does that mean the notification email of correction from DSE serves as a prior contact or a pre-warning before their action? even it does,this is a one-sided response, isn't it? I am not quite good at legal studies , but in my knowledge, the amendment of contract can only come into effect when both parties of contract agreed so , and this email plays little role after the agreement becomes binding ,that is after we paid our money at check out. Any advise will be appreciated and I am more than happy to join the class action as i will not only assure my rights but also learn something as a valuable lesson for future : )

        my friend ordered 1 with the 5 extra(as I referred him to ozbargain)

        1. he complaint to me that he did NOT received any confirmation from dicksmith that the order is wrong/being corrected.

        2. dicksmith SENT the parcel out with 2 x Wii remotes, and he received an email saying parcel is on the way)
          (the email is a confirmation parcel that order sent/on the way with 2 x Wii remote).

        3. later he received another email from dicksmith saying dicksmith only advertised buy 1 free 1
          (I seen that Wii remote page, the page DOESN'T have "buy 1 ONLY get 1 free")

        4. the parcel he will received is only total 2 x Wii remote.

        5. he never received any confirmation nor dicksmith corrected the orders & confirm with the buyers.

        I advised him that he should contact dicksmith & ACCC if dicksmith did not honour what he paid for on the invoice, I think you guys should do the same.

    I got the email as well stating that there was a processing error and I would only be receiving 2 wiimotes and not the 6 shown at checkout. Agreed that it is unfair that some have received 6 and the rest of us will only be getting 2 but what can we do?

    • Got the same email just today after I made an order enquiry. So now 2 remotes shifted its status to 'delivered', weird that I ordered on the 30th oct, but seems that my order was processed later than everyone else here. Tried to call them today around 5:35om EST, but the call center was closed, even though they suppose to close at 6:pm EST.

    I just received an email today telling me the buy 1 get 5 free was just a systme error. I only eligible for buy 1 get 1 free.

    You know what's happening next?

    I call the customer service and threaten them. I said I'm gonna sue them and complain them in ACCC as they don't honour what they said.

    And they mangager prommised to send me 6 remotes for the price of 1 !!!! Yayyy!!!!

  • Called the service center this morning, and was told that they'll make an official announcement in 2-3 hours time to respond to every customer who purchased the wii remote deal.

    I have called, they said they will not honour the deal as they have a terms as below

    4.1In certain circumstances, we may need to reject your order. This may happen where the requested Product is not available or if there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the Site.

      if this is the case I will taking this further, they can NOT go ahead with an order and then back out of it by saying there was no stock and they also can NOT send six to some and two to others, NOT acceptable.

        This is funny that how come so many of you cannot make them honour the deal

        I called them this morning. Tell them I'm going to complain them in ACCC and trade practice act (s. 52 and s.54) overwrites all the terms and conditions they have. They are already breeching their contract and they're getting themselves trouble.

        Trade Practice Act protect all consumer and with trade practice act, all terms or condition is useless.

        After 25 mins of negotiation, I'm sure I'll get 6 remotes.

          [Edit] I just called Dicksmith and used bargaingrabber's reasoning and mentinoed the trade practice act and section 52/54 and they said that they have in their terms and conditions that any orders made as a result of computer errors/glitches etc. do not have to be fulfilled and can be cancelled.

          Clause 10 is what the customer supervisor was talking about.

          She also said she understands our frustration (yeah…bull) and that they do have their legal team working on this and that they've suggested dicksmith to abide by their terms and conditions because they've specifically mentioned that they can cancel if "there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the Site for the Product in that order".

          I guess we lose this time…time to refund when I'm not busy.

  • @wesker They said that they can assure you that NO packages were sent out with 6 and that they are probably playing with us or printed receipts as it's "easy to do". and i'm like, why would they forge legal contractual documents in their spare time? And they kept bullshitting and crap.

    I give up unless someone has a better idea since they've built up a powerful wall over their fortress' now.

        • They called me, same story again bla bla, they have clearly stated in terms & conditions bla bla. And was told that they will contact the buyers who received 6 items to discuss the erroneous order, but that online order team's work, so she can't provide me with any further information on that, which I doubt it.
