  • Worth getting a 1600x or just wait for the 8700k?

  • The prices on DDR4 kits are absolutely atrocious at Futu…same for GPUs…

Computer Alliance is cheaper even after applying the 20% voucher to Futu for most things…

  • Anyone have experienced got extra charged from discount amount? I bought a router $150 with this code. PayPal charged me with 2 transactions $120 and $30. What $30 came from? Why they still charged me the discount amount?

    • +2

Paypal shows you paid 150,out of which 120 is from your bank account or card, and 30 is paid from the voucher. You'll only pay 120 out of pocket

      • Thanks, I will have a look

There is some jacking going on with prices at futu, code should be renamed to PRICE20UP please enter code for 20% increase

Ebay prices are no longer competitive anymore with all these faux 20% off sales. It reminds me of jewelry stores and their "50%" sales, same shenanigans that ACCC banned.

  • Pioneer car head unit MVH-Z5050BT is more expensive on Ryda's eBay store compared to their website. Their eBay price is even higher than Pioneer's RRP of $750! eBay: $759.85 Ryda online: $687.85

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pioneer-MVH-Z5050BT-Bluetooth-Mul…

    https://www.ryda.com.au/pioneer-mvh-z5050bt-bluetooth-multim…

The AVH-Z5050BT adds CD/DVD capability and brings Pioneer's RRP up to $850. Ryda eBay store listed at $798.85. Ryda website same price as MVH! $687.85.

    https://www.ryda.com.au/pioneer-avh-z5050bt-bluetooth-multim…

So getting the AVH through eBay will get you 7% off Ryda.com.au price.

    Just a heads up.

Don't use the supplied link to search LEATHERMAN if you are at work. I was looking for a new small multi-tool but found a whole lot of other stuff that you wouldn't want your coworkers thinking you were into.

Interestingly, from the search results, I would recommend strongly against leatherman naming their new large size multitool the "Leather Daddy".

I had a similar problem in my local library once. I had bought a chainsaw at a garage sale for $10 and I wanted to download a manual for it. I carefully typed in Google's search box its entire name … McCulloch Eager Beaver … you can guess the rest.

Best GTX 1060 laptop in this deal:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Asus-ROG-GL702VM-GC026T-Laptop-i7…

$1945 * 0.80 = $1556 + $25 postage = $1581 very good price for brand new.. Only cheaper option is refurbished or if you are lucky second hand gumtree or ebay

The best GTX 1070 laptop in this deal was something like $2649 * 0.80 = which is like $2119.20 after the 20% off code which to me is honestly not that great.. an extra $538 for an upgrade to a 1070 is no where near worth it especially when a desktop GTX 1070 can be had for around that price.. at those prices you really have to justify the need for a GTX 1070 laptop and not build a desktop around it.

    As for GTX 1050ti laptops:

None worth it in this deal.. the cheapest I found was $1999 *0.80 which is $1600 so roughly same price as the GTX 1060 so GTX 1060 is the sweetspot for this deal unless more stock and inventory arises between now and the end of this special deal/sale.

As always desktops are much cheaper with better bang per buck performance wise but yeah if you need portability some of these deals are not too bad depending on your needs and necessities of having your own laptop.

If another refurbished deal pops up on the GTX 1070 that is sub $1700 definitely jump on it as that is the best deal I have ever seen for it besides that $1050 refurbished desktop GTX 1070 prebuilt total packaged machine many months ago.. good luck Ozbargainer's start your engines.

    • Thanks for taking the time to write this. Do you think it's worth waiting until mid november and hope for possible price drop?

      • +2

Most definitely. Unless you see a super rare deal like a crazy refurbished or pricing error then my plan is to just wait out. Of course your situation may vary but for me I am in no rush I just want the best deal and maybe and then some.

With Cyber Monday and Black Friday coming up soon (27 November 2017 and 24 November 2017 respectively) and then Christmas Sales one month later it is coming up on sale season.

My advice is to save up and prepare some sleepless or busy nights hunting bargains in the weeks leading up to it and after it.

We have about a month and a half now to prepare and research the products we want to buy for now. Personally for me I am going to be looking for a bunch of items from tv's to robot vacuum cleaners and cordless stick vacuum cleaners and maybe even a cheap wired vacuum cleaner haha lol to some gaming laptops and desktop components and a Windows tablet.. lots to do and lots to save up and if I can snag a good deal or two on the way on some kitchen appliances I'll be a very happy buyer.

But with Amazon coming to Australia in full force within the next few years I am now even contemplating waiting on some of these purchases because prices can only get better and not worser from this more competition. So many decisions decisions. I am pretty patient guy in that I can wait forever but a good deal may only come once in a blue moon or as we have sometimes learnt once in a lifetime so keep your eyes peeled haha lol.

        And good luck.

        • Aww few year for Amazon that's so far away :(

        • +1

@Dezeption: yeah well :( I guess it's better than nothing at this point.. But really I want our very own Australian Best Buy or Newegg or Microcenter. MSY is good but has got nothing on American prices.. man.. they get stuff so cheap it's not even fair.. It's like how some other poorer or smaller markets see us as.

  • Anyone found the best price for Xiaomi Mi robot? Cheers.

  • Anyone found any good deals on keyboards? Can't see anything that sticks out

  • Nearest pick up location is 46.2km away. Eh.

First time the codes didn't work for me trying to order 3 pc items which discounted would of been ~$95. Emailed paypal no response yet. So searched for other Aussie stores with the gear and found equivalent products for non-discounted total of ~$56. Ended up buying them and saving $$$.
